Regione Veneto - ASL 6 Departments of Nephrology and Intensive Care Medicine St. Bortolo Hospital SECOND INTERNATIONAL COURSE ON CRITICAL CARE NEPHROLOGY Vicenza, Italy Ente Fiera May 22 25, 2001

www.vicenzanephrocourses.com The Departments of Nephrology and Intensive Care Medicine of St. Bortolo Hospital at ASL 6 - Vicenza welcome you at the SECOND INTERNATIONAL COURSE ON CRITICAL CARE NEPHROLOGY Vicenza Italy, May 22-25, 2001 This is a multidisciplinary course sponsored by: The American Society of Nephrology (ASN) The International Society of Nephrology (ISN) The European Dialysis and Transplantation Association (EDTA) The European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) The European Society for Artificial Organs (ESAO) The International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) The International Federation of Kidney Foundation (NKF) The Italian Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (SIAARTI)

Dipartimento Interaziendale di Medicina Renale (DIMR) The First International Course on Critical Care Nephrology was held in 1998. We gathered participants from 54 different countries. A series of lectures and panel discussions were held during the three days of the course. The proceedings were published in a special issue of Kidney International and a widespread consensus on the format of the course was achieved from the audience. For this reason we decided to host this course every three years, the time required for a real advancement in technology and scientific knowledge. Our task is to put together specialists from different disciplines in a single scientific event with a multidisciplinary approach to the critically ill patient with acute renal failure and other organ dysfunction. The scientific quality of the course and its multidisciplinary nature are guaranteed by the sponsorship and endorsement of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, The American Society of Nephrology, The International Society of Nephrology and the European Renal Association. We really hope that a large number of delegates will join this important event which is becoming a classic appointment for the experts and the physicians who want to receive an updated information in the field of Critical Care Nephrology.
