ARTICULATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN HALIFAX COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND EASTERN CAROLINA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE THIS ARTICULATION AGREEMENT is made and entered into by and between HALIFAX COMMUNITY COLLEGE in Weldon, North Carolina and EASTERN CAROLINA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE in Roanoke Rapids, North carolina. PURPOSE Halifax Community College (HCC) and Eastern Carolina Christian College (ECCC) hereby join in a collaborative effort to facilitate the transfer of academic credit between the institutions. This agreement increases communication, coordination, and student support services between HCC and ECCC. Parties agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. ECCC agrees to accept college transfer coursework completed at HCC, under the program of study, as equivalents to ECCC courses in accordance with "schedule A" attached hereto. The courses approved for transfer credit are taught by HCC faculty who meet the credential requirements of the Southem Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Students must eam a grade of C or better to transfer the course. 2. A recipient of a degree from HCC who applies for admission to ECCC and is admitted as a transfer student may receive up to a maximum of sixty-five (33) semester hours of academic credit. 3. HCC and ECCC partners agree to work together to provide remote access for educational supporl services to students of ECCC and to provide on-site services to students of HCC as follows: Students Enrolled at HCC To take classes at HCC, students must apply for admissions. Once admitted to the college, students have access to all services and functions provided by the college. HCC students may apply for financial aid. Student ID Cards Students attending HCC will be provided a student I.D. which must be revalidated each semester at no charge. However, there will be a fee charged for a replacement card. The I.D. card must be worn and visible at all times while on campus. Students who cannot show the I.D. card when asked to do so may be asked to leave the campus immediately.
Parkine Adequate parking is provided with easy access to all college activity areas. Campus security personnel are present during all hours of college operation. A11 vehicles to be operated on campus must be properly registered and display a parking decal. Students will pick up a parking decal from the cashier's office. Learninq Resources Center HCC & ECCC students have full access to the library services. The Learning Resources Center (LRC) is the college's library and is a vital resource that supports Halifax Community College's instructional programs, providing services to the faculty, staff, administration, students, and members of the community. As such, it provides resources and facilities for study, research, and browsing for information andlor enjoyment. General Computing Needs For general use outside of the ciassroom, students may use the Electronic Resources Center (ERC). The ERC is a staffed computer lab providing technical support to those who need minimal instruction. There are sixty-six computers located in the ERC. This is a quiet study area. HCC & ECCC students have fuil access to the ERC. Student Center The Student Center serves as a social area for students. Students may relax, eat, and chat in a pleasant atmosphere. Vending machines provide snacks and drinks. The Student Center is located in the 300 building and is open from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Students are expected to exhibit appropriate social behavior and language in the Student Center. HCC & ECCC students have full access to the library services. 4. Termination - This agreement shall commence on December 21,2011, and shall continue in force until terminated by either party. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time by giving no less than six (6) months written notice to the other party. 5. Notices - All notices hereunder shall be in writing and shall be deemed to have been duly given if delivered by certified mail, postage prepaid or personally delivered and a receipt obtained, as follows:

Box 1131 Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina 27870 Non-assignability - The respective rights and obligations of the parties hereunder shall insure to the benefit of and be binding upon the parties and their successors and assigns. Any assignment in violation of this provision shall give the parties the right to terminate this agreement immediately upon written notice. Entire Agreement - This agreement contains the entire understanding between the parties and shall not be modified or amended except in writing executed by the parties. 8. Goveming Law - The interpretation and enforcement of this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
