Preface This guide describes how to install the RMFT Product Suite (or any of its components) on an existing MS Cluster and assumes that the cluster is able to connect to one of the supported database types. For information about supported database types and other RMFT installation prerequisites, refer to the RMFT Product Suite Installation Guide. Related documentation: RMFT Product Suite Installation Guide RMFT Administrator's Guide IMPORTANT: The installation must be performed on the main cluster node while its status is Active. NOTE: Before beginning the installation on Windows Server 2008, you first need to configure high availability. For detailed instructions, see Configuring High Availability on Windows Server 2008. Configuring High Availability on Windows Server 2008 1. Open Failover Cluster Manager. 2. Right-click Services and applications and then select Configure a Service or Application. The High Availability Wizard opens. 3. Click Next. RepliWeb, Inc. 3
The Select Service or Application screen is displayed. 4. Select Other Sever and then click Next. The Client Access Point screen is displayed. 5. In the Name field, enter RMFT and then click Next. RepliWeb, Inc. 4
The Select Storage screen is displayed. 6. Select a storage device and then click Next. The Confirmation screen is displayed. 7. Confirm the details and then click Next. RepliWeb, Inc. 5
The Configure High Availability screen is displayed. After the high availability configuration process ends, the following screen is displayed. 8. Click Finish to exit the wizard. RepliWeb, Inc. 6

The Installation Procedure To install the RMFT Product Suite on an existing MS Cluster: 1. On the main cluster node, run the RMFT Product Suite self-extracting archive (RMFT_<version>.exe). Note: On Windows Server 2008, right-click the RMFT_<version>.exe file and select Run as administrator. The following message is displayed. 2. Click OK. 3. Click Next until the following screen is displayed. 4. Click Browse and select an installation path on the shared cluster disk, for example: K:\Program Files\RepliWeb\RMFT 5. To install all components, click Next. 6. To install specific components: a. Click the component or components that you do not want to install (RMFT Server in the example below) RepliWeb, Inc. 8
b. Select Entire feature will be unavailable. c. Repeat steps a and b for each component that you do not want to install and then click Next. For a full description of individual RMFT components, please refer to the RMFT Product Suite Installation Guide. The Ready to Install screen is displayed. 7. Click Install. When the installation completes, the RMFT Site Configurator opens. The RMFT Site Configurator requires you to configure database connectivity, e-mail settings, RMFT Web Site security options, and other site-specific settings. If you quit the RMFT Site Configurator at any time, you will be prompted to run it when you open the RMFT Management Console. 8. Click Next. The Choose a Database Type screen is displayed. 9. Choose either: Install Microsoft SQL Express to install Microsoft SQL Express on the RMFT Server machine. Note: This option will not be available if one of the supported database types is already installed on the RMFT Server machine. -OR- Connect to an existing database to connect to a database within your organization. If you select this option, you must also select a database type from the drop-down list and an ODBC driver from the list that follows the text: Select the ODBC driver that you want to use from the list below. 10. Click Next. If you selected Connect to an existing database, continue below from The DSN Properties screen is displayed. If you selected Install Microsoft SQL Express, the SQL Server Express Details screen will be displayed. 11. (Skip this step if you selected Connect to an existing database) Specify a password for the SQL Server Express sa account and, optionally, change the default installation directory. Continue from Step 13. The DSN Properties screen is displayed. Note: The fields displayed in the DSN Properties screen are determined by the database type that you selected. A description of the fields is provided in step 12 below. If you selected MS-SQL, the following screen is displayed. RepliWeb, Inc. 11
If you selected Oracle, the following screen is displayed. 12. To enable database connectivity, complete the fields in the DSN Properties screen as follows: a. In the User name and password fields, specify your database login credentials. b. This step applies to SQL Server/SQL Server Express only. In the Server name/ip address field, specify the name of IP address of the machine on which the database server is installed. IMPORTANT: If you are using SQL Express, the Server name/ip address field should be configured using the following format: <machine_name>\<sqlserver_instance_name> (usually SQLEXPRESS) Example: MikeXP\SQLEXPRESS If you are unsure what to enter in the Server name/ip address field, open the SQL Server Management Studio Express console and copy the text from the Server name field. c. This step applies to SQL Server/SQL Server Express only. In the Database Name field, you can either keep the default name or RepliWeb, Inc. 12
change the database name. Setup will create the database with the specified database name. d. This step applies to Oracle only. In the TNS service name field, specify the name of the TNS Service that you created on the Oracle database server. Note: If you want to connect multiple installations of RMFT Server to the same database server, you need to specify a different Database Name (SQL Server/SQL Server Express) or schema (Oracle) for each installation. 13. Click Next. The Fully Qualified Domain Name screen is displayed. The RMFT administrator can configure RMFT Server to notify users when new packages are distributed to their RMFT Server inbox. The notification e-mails can contain hyperlinks that allow users to access the new package directly (after logging in) or download the packages files without logging in. To implement the hyperlink feature, you must specify the RMFT Server machine's Fully Qualified Domain Name as it is registered on your DNS. 14. In the Registered RMFT Server DNS name field, specify the RMFT Server DNS name and then click Next. RepliWeb, Inc. 13
The RMFT Root Directory screen is displayed. 15. In the RMFT Root Directory screen, specify a location on the shared cluster disk. Click Next. 16. Continue with the remaining screens until the Finish RMFT Site Configuration screen is displayed: 17. Clear the Open RMFT Manager check box and then click Finish. RepliWeb, Inc. 14
The Configuring RMFT Site progress screen is displayed: If you selected Install SQL Server Express in Step 9, SQL Server Express will be installed at this stage. The installation does not require any user interaction. When the installation completes, the following confirmation is displayed: 18. Click OK. The final screen is displayed. 19. Click Finish. The RepliWeb Managed File Transfer Cluster Setup utility opens. a. Select the Install on Main Node option. b. In the Cluster Properties area, specify the Network Name (optional), the cluster Group / Service or Application name and the Physical Disk name in the designated fields. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the names that you enter are the same as those defined in the Cluster Administrator (Windows 2003) / Failover Cluster Manager (Windows 2008). After Setup completes, all the RMFT services should be listed as offline in the right pane of the Cluster Administrator (Windows Server 2003) or Failover Cluster Manager (Windows Server 2008). 20. Stop the cluster service on the primary node (in order to move the cluster services to the secondary node). 21. Log on to the second node and run the RMFT Product Suite selfextracting archive (RMFT_<version>.exe). Note: On Windows Server 2008, right-click the RMFT_<version>.exe file and select Run as administrator. The RepliWeb Managed File Transfer Cluster Setup utility opens. a. Select the Install on Secondary Node option. b. In the Installation Root field, specify the full path of the RMFT installation root directory (if it is not already specified). c. Click Install. d. Bring the cluster service on the primary node back online. Note: The RMFT service will be brought online automatically when the installation completes. RepliWeb, Inc. 18
Upgrading the RMFT Product Suite Note: On Windows Server 2008, the upgrade instructions apply to RMFT 2.4.3 and above. Note: Setup will take the RMFT services offline at the beginning of the upgrade and bring them online at the end of the upgrade. Before beginning the upgrade: 1. Back up your RMFT settings and packages as follows: a. Open RMFT Manager. b. From the Manage menu, select Backup and Restore > Backup. 2. Manually back up any customized website templates in ~\RepliWeb\RMFT\web\b-hub\translator and ~\RepliWeb\RMFT\web\bhub\customizer. Also back up any customized files that you may have placed under the RMFT installation directory (~\RepliWeb\RMFT). To upgrade the RMFT Product Suite installation: 1. On the primary node, run the RMFT Product Suite self-extracting archive (RMFT_<version>.exe). Note: On Windows Server 2008, right-click the RMFT_<version>.exe file and select Run as administrator. 2. Click Upgrade. The installation is upgraded. 3. In the right pane of the Failover Cluster Manager, take the RMFT Cluster Monitor offline. This will take all the RMFT resources (services) offline. 4. After the primary node upgrade completes, move the cluster group to the second node. 5. On the secondary node, run the RMFT Product Suite self-extracting archive (RMFT_<version>.exe). Note: On Windows Server 2008, right-click the RMFT_<version>.exe file and select Run as administrator. RepliWeb, Inc. 19
The RepliWeb Managed File Transfer Cluster Setup utility opens. 6. Click Upgrade. The installation is upgraded. Note: When upgrading from B-Hub 2.2 to RMFT 2.4 or above, all the service names and Start menu shortcuts are updated to reflect the new product name. 7. Bring the RMFT cluster resources back online. Uninstalling the RMFT Product Suite To uninstall RMFT Product Suite: 1. On the main node, take the RMFT Cluster Monitor resource offline. 2. Delete all the RMFT cluster resources, which are as follows: RMFT Admin Agent RMFT Cluster Monitor RMFT FASTCopy Server (fcopyd) RMFT Fest Server RMFT GQS RepliWeb, Inc. 20
RMFT Monitor Server RMFT Scheduler RMFT SuperFAST Server 3. On the main node: a. Uninstall RMFT Product Suite. b. Delete the RMFT Cluster Monitor service by opening a command prompt and issuing the following command: >sc delete "Softlink Cluster Monitor" 4. On the secondary node, remove the remaining items as follows: a. Open the IIS and delete the RMFT virtual directory. The default name and location is: Default Web Site > repliweb-rmft. b. On 32-bit machines, remove the following registry keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\SoftLink HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoftLink On 64-bit machines, remove the following registry keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\SoftLink HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SoftLink c. Delete the RMFT services by opening a command prompt and issuing the following command for each service: >sc delete <service name> where <service name> is the service name (not the display name) in quotation marks. Example: >sc delete Softlink B-Hub Admin Agent Note: On Windows Server 2008, right-click the command prompt item in the Start menu and select Run as administrator. Open the ODBC Data Source Administrator Console (Control Panel >Administrative Tools > Data Sources) and delete the entry BHUB from the System DSN tab. Note: On 64-bit machines, the BHUB ODBC DSN is located in the 32-bit ODBC settings. The 32-bit ODBC application can be accessed by running: ~\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. e.
