The mission of the Masters of Science in Human Resource Management (MS HRM) is to produce and prepare human resource professionals who can thrive in the organizational environment of today and shape the HR practices of tomorrow. The MS HRM at Marshall University endeavors to be the foremost program in educating and developing individuals for a career in human resource management in West Virginia and Appalachia. The program emphasizes the analytical and leadership skills, as well as functional content knowledge needed, to be effective human resource manager. The MS HRM will better allow our graduates to become organizational policy makers who increase the effectiveness of their organizations.
