The exact application dates will be published in The Straits Times, The New Paper and the ITE website following the release of 204 GCE O Level Examination results. Applicants may be offered a course under the Nitec progression intake and another course under the SAE. Applicants who are offered courses under both Nitec progression intake and SAE can decide to accept one of the 2 offers. All offers that are not taken up by the stipulated date given will lapse. Higher Nitec in Filmmaking (Cinematography) Applicants who wish to progress to Higher Nitec in Filmmaking (Cinematography) course are required to apply directly at ITE College Central under the Special Admissions Exercise. Applicants applying for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency and physical deficiency and may check directly with ITE College Central for more information. Graduates from Nitec in Interactive Media and Nitec in Visual Communication with cumulative of 2.3 and above may also submit online application for progression to the Higher Nitec in Interactive course following the release of 204 GCE O Levels Examination Results in January 205. Higher Nitec in Performance Production Applicants who wish to progress to Higher Nitec in Performance Production course are required to apply directly at ITE College Central under the Special Admissions Exercise. Applicants applying for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency, hearing deficiency and acrophobia (fear of height). Applicants who are interested to apply for the course may check directly with ITE College Central for more information. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview before the final selection. Higher Nitec in Visual Merchandising Applicants who wish to progress to Higher Nitec in Visual Merchandising course are required to apply directly at ITE College Central under the Special Admissions Exercise. Applicants applying for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency and may check directly with ITE College Central for more information. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an aptitude test and interview before the final selection. 3 4 5 Progression to Higher Nitec courses is based on relevancy of Nitec qualification to Higher Nitec courses applied, merits and subject to vacancies. Depending on your progression eligibility, you can apply for Yr Entry or Yr 2 Entry or both Yr Entry and Yr 2 Entry to Higher Nitec courses in your application choices. Successful students for the Higher Nitec in Information Technology course will be required to purchase Tablet which will cost about $500,200 for the 2-year course. This is in addition to the course fees. Financial assistance is available for eligible students subject to terms and conditions. Successful students for the Higher Nitec in Interactive course will be required to purchase a Laptop that will cost about $500 2,250 for the 2-year course. This is in addition to the course fees. Financial assistance is available for eligible students subject to terms and conditions. Apple Macbook Pro is recommended for academic and professional works. NATIONAL SERVICE (NS) DEFERMENT National Service (NS) liable males who wish to pursue full-time ITE courses in 205 and were born in the year 994 or earlier for Nitec graduates progressing to Higher Nitec courses will have to check their eligibility for NS Deferment at the Central Manpower Base (CMPB).
