5 ITE Colleges Progression to Full-Time Higher Engineering/ICT/Applied Sciences/ CC-AM: ITE College Central CE-SM: ITE College East CW-CK: ITE College West The offer of an ITE course to applicants is subject to them being physically, medically and mentally fit to pursue the course. This is to ensure that all students can benefit from ITE training in a safe and conducive environment. Applicants or students assessed by ITE as being unfit can be withdrawn from the course. Where appropriate, they may be considered for other courses if there are suitable ones. The Learning Accessibility Office (LAO) at each ITE College will provide support to students with Special Education Needs in their learning process at ITE. Applicants with specific disabilities are strongly encouraged to seek prior academic course advising from the respective College(s) before selecting their choice of application. For further assistance on course advising before submission of application, please call the ITE Customer Service Hotline on 1800-CALL ITE ( ) or visit ITE website at Notes: 1 Applicants applying for these courses must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency. Colour vision test will be conducted for applicants enrolled into these courses. Colour vision test is available over the Internet and at the ITE Colleges conducting these courses. Please take the test before submitting your application if you are not sure whether you are free from colour appreciation deficiency. SPECIAL ADMISSIONS EXERCISE (SAE) 2 ITE also conducts a Special Admissions Exercise for admission to the following Higher courses. Interested applicants may apply online at during the application period. The exact application dates will be published in The Straits Times, The New Paper and the ITE website following the release of 201 GCE O Level Examination results. Applicants may be offered a course under the progression intake and another course under the SAE. Applicants who are offered courses under both progression intake and SAE can decide to accept one of the 2 offers. All offers that are not taken up by the stipulated date given will lapse. Higher in Filmmaking (Cinematography) Applicants who wish to progress to the Higher in Filmmaking (Cinematography) course offered at ITE College Central are required to apply under the Special Admissions Exercise. Applicants applying for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation and physical deficiency and may check directly with ITE College Central for more information. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview before the final selection. Higher in Interactive Design Applicants who wish to progress to the Higher in Interactive Design course offered at ITE College Central are required to apply under the Special Admissions Exercise. Applicants applying for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency and may check directly with ITE College Central for more information. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview before the final selection. Higher in Performance Production Applicants who wish to progress to the Higher in Performance Production course offered at ITE College Central are required to apply under the Special Admissions Exercise. Applicants applying for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency, hearing deficiency and acrophobia (fear of height). Applicants who are interested to apply for the course may check directly with ITE College Central for more information. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview before the final selection. Higher in Visual Merchandising Applicants who wish to progress to the Higher in Visual Merchandising course offered at ITE College Central are required to apply under the Special Admissions Exercise. Applicants applying for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency and may check directly with ITE College Central for more information. Depending on your progression eligibility, you can apply for Yr 1 Entry or Yr 2 Entry or both Yr 1 Entry and Yr 2 Entry to Higher courses in your application choices. Successful students for the Higher in Biotechnology course will be required to purchase a Laptop that will cost about $00 $1,200 for the 2-year course. This is in addition to the course fees. Financial assistance is available for eligible students subject to terms and conditions. Successful students for the Higher in Information Technology course will be required to purchase a Laptop/Tablet that will cost about $00 $1,200 for the 2-year course. This is in addition to the course fees. Financial assistance is available for eligible students subject to terms and conditions. Successful students for the Higher in Interactive Design course will be required to purchase a Laptop that will cost about $00 $2,20 for the 2-year course. This is in addition to the course fees. Financial assistance is available for eligible students subject to terms and conditions. Apple Macbook Pro is recommended for academic and professional works. This course comprises 3 months of Industry Attachment. 6 This course comprises 6 months of Industry Attachment. NATIONAL SERVICE (NS) DEFERMENT National Service (NS) liable males who wish to pursue full-time ITE courses in 20 and were born in the year 199 or earlier for graduates progressing to Higher courses will have to check their eligibility for NS Deferment at the Central Manpower Base (CMPB). Students who are not eligible for NS deferment will need to withdraw from the course that they are enrolled. Page 6 of 6
