An affiliate of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Behavioral Health Services Project Service Area Annual Report Fiscal Year 2013 D&A Services Mon Yough Community Services, Inc provides services to the following geographic areas: Clairton Dravosburg Duquesne Elizabeth Boro Elizabeth Twp. Forward Twp. Glassport Liberty Boro Project Funding Lincoln Boro McKeesport Port Vue South Versailles Twp. Versailles Boro West Elizabeth White Oak North Versailles Mon Yough Community Services, Inc receives funding through a variety of funding sources. At the federal level, major funding sources include the national Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). These funds are channeled at the state level through the Department of Health, Office of Drug and Alcohol Services. Funds are supplied through the contracted services with the Allegheny County Behavioral Health Services. Funding is also received on a fee for services arrangement in the Outpatient areas. Governing Body The Drug and Alcohol projects of Mon Yough Community Services, Inc are responsible to the Mon Yough Community Services, Inc, Board of Directors (see attached). MYCS is an affiliate of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Behavioral Health Services. Project Target Population Prevention Population: Youth in school (ages 6-18) Community

Intervention: Treatment Alternatives for Safer Community (TASC) Allegheny County Alcohol Highway Safety Program (DUI) Treatment: Adolescents (age 14-19) Adults male/female Pregnant women; women and children Families and spouses of drug users Current population in treatment per diagnosis: alcohol abuse/ dependence 167 30% cannabis abuse/ dependence 124 23% cocaine- abuse/ dependence 75 13% opioid- abuse/ dependence 73 13% polysubstance dependence 49 9% alcohol abuse in remission 25 5% opioid abuse in remission 12 2% cocaine- abuse in remission 13 2% cannabis abuse in remission 11 2% Referral Sources: D&A Abuse Care Provider Probation Parole Self Court/Criminal Justice Community Service Agencies/Individual School Physicians/Hospital

Family/Friend Employer/EAP Clergy/Religious SCA No one is denied services because of age, race, religion, sex, ethnicity, color, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, or handicap. PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS: Treatment Services: MYCS D&A Treatment o Provides outpatient and intensive outpatient services to those who have a primary substance abuse disorder and those with a co-occurring disorders of substance abuse and mental health disorder. Services include individual, group, psychiatric evaluation and medication checks. Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC) o Provides case management services and serves as a link between the Criminal Justice System and treatment services. Services provided include screening of those involved in the criminal justice system for treatment need; referral; facilitation and coordination and communication between treatment services and criminal justice system; skill/life skill groups and facilitation of educational needs such as GED. Allegheny County Highway Safety Program (DUI Program) o Education and treatment programs. Programs target first time offenders; multiple offenders education classes and treatment groups; multiple offender electronic monitoring and treatment groups; underage treatment program. Student Assistance and Prevention Program o Assist school personnel in the identification, referral and support of the students who are experiencing a variety of behavioral, academic, or other difficulties that are interfering with daily functioning as well as those impacted by drug and alcohol use.. The services are comprised of prevention and intervention not treatment. Students requiring additional services are referred for treatment. Drug and Alcohol Recovery Support Services o Provides nontraditional services to high risk populations using harm reduction model of care. Programs include:
