2 CTCADA Goals To reduce the harm caused by substance abuse in our communities To mobilize communities to implement prevention and intervention strategies, particularly for our youth. To increase community awareness of CTCADA, its programs and services and other resources for assistance. To reduce barriers to substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment.

3 Philosophy We believe that alcohol, tobacco and other drug use are serious problems in the communities we serve. We believe that through the collaborative effort of concerned citizens and professionals we can positively impact the problem of substance abuse in our communities.

4 Programs and Services Youth Prevention Programs for grades Pregnant and Post partum Intervention Program Adult and Adolescent Outpatient Treatment Co-occurring Disorders Program Community action through the Prevention Partnership

5 Prevention Programs Youth prevention programs provide Alcohol and drug education, resistance training, and life skills at the elementary, middle and high school level Drug/alcohol free activities to engage young people in healthy living. Educational presentations and printed information on substance abuse, prevention and related topics, especially tobacco Individual, group and family counseling as needed or requested at the high school level.

6 Intervention Programs Intervention programs work with adults, youth and families to halt the progression of substance abuse. Pregnant and Post partum Intervention program focuses on new mothers or those still pregnant who are abusing drugs or alcohol. The PPI program uses individual and group counseling, drug/alcohol education, resistance training, case management and referral to treatment, housing, and other social services in order to interrupt the cycle of addiction. Project Success works with youth and families who are experiencing difficulties related to substance abuse through counseling, drug and alcohol education, family support, case management and referral to treatment and other social, psychiatric or medical services as needed.

7 Treatment Programs Adolescent Treatment Program Involves families and youth in substance abuse and life skills, support groups, individual, group and family counseling. CTCADA is an approved Medicaid provider and has other funding which allows us to provide these services for free within certain income guidelines. Adult Treatment Program Guided by the same income based fee scale, adult treatment focuses on assisting individuals and families in recovering from substance abuse and related disorders. Co-occuring Disorders program For individuals and their families who are dealing with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders. Case management, advocacy and linking with MHMR, treatment and other resources, individual counseling and crisis stabilization are key components of the program. We also provide financial support for housing, medication, transportation and childcare, along with other basic needs.

8 SUSTAIN-Supportive Umbrella of Services to Assist Individuals in Need In order to meet the unique needs of individuals with substance abuse and mental illness co-occurring for example, depression and marijuana abuse CTCADA can provide Housing and utilities support Mentors Medication and doctor visits Childcare Transportation Food, clothing and other basic needs

9 Offender Services CTCADA offers screening and referral at Bell County Jail CTCADA offers classes required by the court for DWI, Minors in Possession, Drug offenders and Repeat DWI offenders. CTCADA offers Adolescent Tobacco Cessation Programs and also provides hours for community service for adolescents.
