We chose to expand in Springfield, Ohio in large part due to available workforce. Unfortunately, residents of Springfield were lacking specific insurance industry skills we require, Paul Gross, Code Blue

A ctinuing need exists to re-train manufacturing workers for service sector jobs in insurance industry. The good news is that our work with Code Blue and ors have yielded additial opportunities for growth in local employment, Geoff Steele, Assistant Director JFS Clark County

We commit to offering job interviews for all candidates who successfully complete training, Michael Greenwood, VP Assurant Speciality Property

Having a steady stream of individuals trained in customer service and insurance field would enable community to better serve Assurant, Springfield s largest employer, but also Code Blue, e of Springfield s fastest growing companies. The success in this area would allow for an available workforce in this growth area, enabling us to more easily attract new companies in insurance industry, David Zak, VP Ecomic Development, Greater Springfield Chamber
