Mark J. McCABE Strategy, Entrepreneurship & Economics Sophia-Antipolis CV Biography Mark J McCabe is a tenured professor at SKEMA Business School (France). At SKEMA, he is the scientific director of the MSc Digital Business Program. He is also a Lecturer in the Markets, Public Policy and Law Department at Boston University s Questrom School of Business. He has worked as an economist at the US Department of Justice s Antitrust Division (1991-1998), an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Georgia Tech (1998-2007), an adjunct Associate Professor and Research Investigator at the University of Michigan s School of Information (2007-2015), and as a DAAD Visitor Professor at the University of Göttingen (Germany, 2011-2013). He received his PhD in applied economics from MIT s Sloan School of Management in 1991. His research in the field of industrial organization currently focuses on the economics of digital information goods markets (with a particular interest in scientific publishing) and the implications of the online environment for competition policy. His research has been published in various scholarly journals, including the American Economic Review, the Rand Journal of Economics, the Review of Economics and Statistics, and Nature and has been supported by grants from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the NET Institute, the Open Society Institute and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. His other affiliations include the Sloan Industry Studies Program and the State Center s Panel of Economists. As a State Center Economist, he assisted Attorney Generals from different US states, including California, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts and New York, on a variety of antitrust investigations.
