However, mini riders are not permitted under any circumstances to ride a mini machine in any competition unless they have attained the required age for that class/type of machine. Mini ATV classes will not be held in conjunction with 2 Wheel (MX) Championship events. Clubs may choose to run these as support classes. Support Classes At any National or Island Championship or the New Zealand Grand Prix, the host club may, in addition to the championship classes, run the following support classes. These classes may, at the host club s discretion, be combined and/or broken into different age groups to

accommodate such things as the time available for the event, the number of likely entries per class, rider ability, and the performance of the various mini machines. Sportsman Lites 0 to 250cc 4 Stroke 0 to 200cc 2 Stroke Must have standard OEM dirt bike rims, brake calipers and suspension travel. Sportsman Open 251cc to Open 4 Stroke 201cc to Open 2 Stroke Must have standard OEM dirt bike rims, brake calipers and suspension travel. Sportsman Junior 0 to 250cc 4 Stroke 0 to 200cc 2 Stroke Junior 13 16 years must have junior licence. Must have standard OEM dirt bike rims, brake calipers and suspension travel. Senior classes of the same capacity may be combined if provided for in Supplementary Regulations. Magnesium rims are prohibited. MINIATURE ROAD RACING Championship Classes Solo motorcycles shall have two engine capacity classes: F4 2 stroke 55-100cc 2 stroke 55-125cc air cooled 4 stroke 55-150cc F5 2 stroke 0-50cc 4 stroke 0-100cc air cooled

Sidecars shall have one engine capacity class: 2 stroke 55-100cc 2 stroke 55-125cc air cooled 4 stroke 55-150cc The maximum capacity for rebored engines shall be: F4 2 stroke 55-100cc - 104cc 2 stroke 55-125cc air cooled - 130.5cc 4 stroke 55-150cc 158.09cc F5 2 stroke 0-50cc - 53cc 4 stroke 0-100cc - 104cc SIDECAR ROAD RACING Formula 1: There shall be no restriction in engine design. Lower Limit 410cc 2 stroke multis 601cc 4 stroke 4 cylinder engines 501cc 2 stroke single cylinder engines 751cc 4 stroke twin cylinder engines 751cc 4 stroke cylinder engines Upper limit 1300cc Turbochargers and Superchargers shall not be allowed. The capacity of rotary engines shall be determined by the formula approved by Formula 2: Engine capacities for this class shall be as follows 240cc to 410cc - 2 stroke multis 240cc to 600cc - 4 stroke four cylinder engines 320cc to 500cc - 2 stroke single cylinder engines 320cc to 750cc - 4 stroke twin cylinder engines 320cc to 750cc - 4 stroke single cylinder engines Supercharging and Turbocharging shall not be allowed. Machines competing in this class will be combined with the Formula 1 machines and compete for the same prize money until such time that there are sufficient machines in this class to warrant separate races for both classes. There shall not be a championship for Formula 2 machines until such time that there are sufficient machines to warrant a separate award. In terms of this clause "sufficient" shall be deemed to be 10 or more machines.

PIT BIKE Open Classes Except for rules relating to class specifications, modifications are permitted but machines must comply with any rules relating to general competition. Age Groups The senior pit bike classes are open to junior and senior licence holders who are aged 13 or over. If a competitor holds a junior licence, (s)he shall, for the purpose of pit bike competition, be deemed to be a senior licence holder. The junior pit bike classes are open to mini and junior licence holders who are aged 8 to 13 years. For avoidance of doubt, competitors may ride until they are 12 years 364 days, but not on or after their 13th birthday. If a competitor holds a mini licence, (s)he shall, for the purpose of pit bike competition, be deemed to be a junior licence holder.
