BIOGRAPHY PETER KRAUS CHAIRMAN AND CEO, ALLIANCEBERNSTEIN MEMBER OF THE AXA MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE Peter Kraus is Chairman & CEO of AllianceBernstein. He joined AllianceBernstein in December 2008 from Merrill Lynch & Company Inc., where he served as an executive vice president, the head of global strategy and a member of the Management Committee from September 2008 through December 2008. Peter spent 22 years with Goldman Sachs Group, where he most recently served as co-head of the Investment Management Division and a member of the Management Committee, as well as head of firmwide strategy and chairman of the Strategy Committee.
