2304 audio channels Kaleido-X offers unprecedented audio performance with the ability to monitor up to 2304 channels of audio, including embedded, discrete, or discrete analog. The amount of cabling needed for discrete (non embedded) audio is minimized by the Audio Bridge Terminals, which accept analog (balanced or unbalanced) and digital audio (75 or 0 ). The Audio Bridge Terminals can fit in the back of racks, and can be located up to 800 feet (250m) away from a Kaleido-X frame, with connection over standard video coax. With this configuration, it is no longer necessary to route individual audio signals to the multi-image processor/router. The slim Audio Bridge Terminals offer highly space efficient monitoring of up to 768 discrete audio channels per frame Audio Bridge Terminals offer two coaxial outputs which provide redundancy and allow audio inputs to be shared among multiple frames. built-in router The built-in router improves integration, and reduces cabling and equipment costs. The routing capability eliminates the need for a separate router in the following applications: Uniquely, Kaleido-X features a built-in router which eliminates the need for separate routing in control rooms, and provides a significant cost saving. Up to 48 unprocessed, baseband outputs can be provided from any of the 96 HD / SD-SDI inputs of the processor. These outputs can be used to feed high quality CT monitors, test equipment such as waveform scopes, as well as ISO recorders. The outputs can even feed other multi-image display systems. The router outputs can be controlled by on-screen menus, a remote panel, and by the iouter application. highly robust Kaledio-X features a highly robust design, with multiple points of redundancy, and no single point of failure for reliable 24/7 operation. The 7U frame uses front loading, hot swappable modules and power supplies. All modules are independent, and there is no single module that can cause the system to fail. Each output module has its own processor, operating system and external connections. Kaleido-X also offers multiple failover scenarios, an easy upgrade process, and detailed system status and logging. The processor uses a real-time inux based operating system, and data is distributed for redundancy.
