When we first floated the idea of hosting a seminar on the legal issues of doing business across the Atlantic, we envisioned a small group of 20 lawyers getting together in a conference room for a few hours before adjourning for golf and dinner at a local pub. Little did we realize how quickly this idea would grow! The size of this event and the quality of speakers and delegates we have attracted is testament to the intense demand for increased business links between our two countries. The Brehon Law Society is delighted to be playing its part to cultivate these relationships, which we believe are essential to a strong global recovery. This symposium has been a joint effort from the start and I d like to thank our many sponsors on both sides of the pond for their support. I d also like to acknowledge our partners here in Ireland: the Western Development Commission, Mayo County Council, PR West and Recruit Legal. I also want to thank NUl Galway, our title sponsor, and Temple University, our originating partner. The support of these two academic giants was essential to our success. I hope you enjoy the next few days and that you leave with a few new ideas on ways to expand your business and better yet, some new friends and fond memories. Thank you all for your support and we look forward to welcoming you in Philadelphia next year! Very truly yours, Joseph T. Kelley Jr. President Brehon Law Sociery
