CRCNET RESOURCE GUIDE Clinical Research Community Listserv
JOINING CRCNET CRCNet is a listserv intended for the clinical research community at BC Children s Hospital and BC Women s Hospital & Health Centre. Designed to share information and resources to the research community, subscribers will receive emails from group members and be able to send emails to the group. This may include information related to research protocols, processes, regulations, ethics, recruitment, training, education and relevant job postings. For more information or technical assistance please contact reseduc@cfri.ca. Subscribing 2. From the header bar, click List of lists and select crc@list.cfri.ca 3. From the panel on the left side, select Subscribe 4. Enter your e-mail address, click Submit 5. To verify your e-mail address an e-mail will be sent containing your password (Subject CFRI Mailing List Service/your environment), enter the password provided and click Subscribe 6. Once administrators have confirmed your subscription you will receive a confirmation e-mail (Subject Welcome to CRCNet!). Note this may take up to 3 business days to be received.
Sending a Message 1. Open a new e-mail and compose your CRCNet message 2. Enter a short subject that clearly states the message topic 3. Enter the To... e-mail address as crc@list.cfri.ca 4. Click Send Replying to a Message 1. Open the CRCNet message 2. To reply to the sender, click Reply. To reply to the listserv, click Reply All 3. Compose your reply, click Send
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT Viewing Your Account 2. Select First login? 3. Enter your email address, click Send me my password 4. You will receive an email containing the password (Subject Mailing List Service/your environment), enter the password provided and click Login Your CRCNet account gives you access to the following - Archived messages Shared documents Subscriber options (password reset, email settings, etc.) Changing Your Password 2. Enter your login (for login information see Viewing your account ), click Login 3. Select Your preferences 4. Go to Changing your password. Enter the new password and click Submit
Changing Your E-mail Address 2. Enter your login (for login information see Viewing your account ) and click Login 3. Select Your preferences 4. Go to Changing your email address. Enter the new email address and click Submit Resetting your password 2. From the planel on the left side, Select Lost password? 3. Enter your email address and click Send me my password 4. You will receive an email containing the password (Subject Mailing List Service/your environment), enter the password provided and click Login Viewing Archives 2. Enter your login (for login information see Viewing your account ) and click Login 3. Select Archive to browse or search the selections to view previous posts Unsuscribing 2. Enter your login (for login information see Viewing your account ) and click Login 3. Go to Your Lists and select CRC 4. Click Unsubscribe 5. You will receive an email confirmation (Subject - Unsubscribe CRCNet). If your email address has been removed in error you can change your subscription status by re-subscribing at http://list.cfri.ca.
ETIQUETTE CRCNet Guidelines Messages sent to CRCNet should pertain to the clinical research community, do not send messages that are not related or that are not respectful. Only send a message to the entire list when it contains information that everyone may find beneficial. Refrain from posting thank you, me too, or personal comments that are directed only to the individual who sent the email. When you hit reply all to a CRCNet email, the entire list will receive your reply. If you want to reply only to the person who sent the message, select Reply. Do not send administrative emails (such as remove me from the list ) to the entire listserv; if you have technical problems please contact reseduc@cfri.ca. Content posted to CRCNet is available for all to see and is archived. Do not post anything about yourself, your patients or others that you don t want to be seen by all members. Clearly state the topic of your posting in the subject line. This makes it easier for fellow subscribers to respond. Watch your language; posts should be professional and polite. All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal materials are strictly prohibited.
