The Rennes Satellite Node The EIT ICT Labs Rennes satellite co-location center is a welcoming venue dedicated to the partners activities on Education, Research, Innovation and Business. The Rennes Satellite Node hosts five EIT ICT Labs core partners (INRIA, Institut Mines Telecom/Telecom Bretagne, Alcatel-Lucent, Orange, Thales) plus three affiliate partners: University of Rennes 1, the competitiveness cluster Images & Networks, the SME JCP Consult. Ideally located in the Rennes-Atalante Science Park, strongly linked-up with European ICT community, the Rennes Satellite Co-location Center proposes offices, open-space, meeting and classrooms in a revamped area hosted by the University of Rennes 1. The satellite co-location center is under the same roof as the Computer Science Institute of University of Rennes 1 Istic in the core of the Rennes ecosystem in ICT, close to major industrial corporations, to 300 SMEs and to the main ICT labs in the West of France: IRISA and Inria. Hence it is meant to become a highly appreciated and valued location for networking, animations and communications, opened to all players from the ICT innovation ecosystem in Rennes. Rennes, the capital of Brittany (West of France), is a leading education and hightech R&D center of global renown. By the way, recent history of Rennes includes many crucial advances in terms of the invention and development of world standards in ICT: ATM, MP3, JPEG, OFDM, Turbo Codes, MPEG4, etc Rennes is actually one of the few clusters in the world at the convergence point of media, telecommunications and information technologies. With over 60,000 students on a population of 250 000, Rennes is arguably one of France s liveliest and student-friendly cities.

There s a TGV every 30 minutes at peak-time, for a total of 20 Paris-Rennes and 21 Rennes- Paris TGV each day. How to reach the CLC from the train station?
