He also serves as a member of the Operating Committee of RBC Wealth Management and, as Chair of RBC s Global Trust Advisory Board, oversees its trust business across the British Isles, Caribbean, Europe, Asia and the US. A graduate of McMaster University and Wilfred Laurier University where he attained a Bachelor of Engineering and Masters in Business Administration respectively, Stuart joined RBC in 1999 and has held a number of senior roles during his time with the organization. Prior to assuming his current role in October 2012, he was Head of RBC Wealth Management s Global Wealth Services group, with responsibility for developing and delivering best practice investment, credit and wealth solutions to clients, as well as the development and execution of RBC Wealth Management s strategy and global brand and marketing initiatives. In this capacity, he is responsible for the company s trust operations in Guernsey, Jersey and London. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and the Association of Accounting Technicians, and member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Steve joined Abacus Financial Services Group ( Abacus ) in 1980, where he held the position of Head of Fiduciary Services and Wealth Planning. In addition to overseeing the growth of Abacus into one of the world s leading providers of fiduciary services, Steve also directed a number of teams that serviced the wealth management needs of individuals, families and business groups from around the world, particularly those with connections to Africa, Europe and the UK. Steve joined RBC in 2005, following the company s acquisition of Abacus. He assumed his current role in 2007.

In this capacity, she provides leadership to a team of professionals responsible for the administration, data and document management, recordkeeping and reporting structures administered by the British Isles fiduciary business. Truusje is a member of the main operating board with joint responsibility for growth, operational and risk management strategies. A member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, Truusje joined Abacus Financial Services Group ( Abacus ) in 1997 with the remit of centralising the trust administration functions and executing change to deliver excellent client service and an integrated and growing business. Truusje joined RBC in 2005, following the company s acquisition of Abacus. She assumed her current role in 2009. Henry Kierulf Head of Fiduciary Relationship Management +44 (0) 1534 501185 Email: henry.kierulf@rbc.com Based in Jersey, Henry is Head of Fiduciary Relationship Management and oversees the provision of trust and fiduciary services to high net worth individuals and their families, delivered by Private Client Trust Directors from RBC s offices in Guernsey, Jersey and London. He also has overall responsibility for strategy, business development and client services. A member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Henry embarked on a career in financial services in 1988 after graduating from Concordia University and then McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma in Accountancy respectively. His first position was with Ernst and Young in Canada where he specialized in the provision of audit, accounting, tax and advisory services advice to high net worth individuals and corporate clients. Henry moved to Barbados in 1994, initially with PwC, before joining RBC s investment operation in 1995. After seven years in Barbados, he transferred to Cayman, where he was appointed Managing Director of RBC s Cayman Islands office with responsibility for banking, trust and mutual fund administration services. After spending a year in London as Chief Operating Officer of RBC s British Isles Investment Management business, Henry was appointed a Director of RBC s trust operation in Jersey in 2005, before assuming his current role in 2010. Alan Pearce Managing Director - Guernsey +44 (0) 1481 744143 Email: alan.pearce@rbc.com Based in Guernsey, Alan is the Managing Director of Guernsey s trust operation and oversees the provision of trust and fiduciary services delivered by the team to its global client base. He specializes in Canadian immigration planning and has established a number of tax-efficient structures for high net worth individuals and families moving to Canada. A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the Trust Companies Institute of Canada and the Canadian Tax Foundation, Alan entered private client wealth management three years after embarking on a career in financial services in 1972, gaining experience in accountancy, offshore trusts and related issues in Jersey throughout the 1970s. He moved to Canada at the beginning of 1981 and spent the next 13 years with a prominent trust company in Canada. In 1993, Alan joined another of Canada s major financial institutions and spent five years as part of a core management team, assisting in the development of their trust company from a start-up operation. He returned to the Channel Islands in 1998 to assume responsibility for RBC s trust operation in Guernsey. During his career, Alan has delivered a number of presentations on Canadian estate planning issues and offshore planning and, in 1996, authored the Canadian Trust Companies Institute s training material on the subject of offshore trusts. He also designed and now delivers RBC s global in-house trust training program. Janine joined RBC in 2011 having worked previously in strategic and operational roles in Business Management and Human Resources, in both the public and private sectors in Jersey. A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel, Janine is a BA (Hons) Social Administration graduate, has a Masters in Business Administration, and holds the IoD Diploma in Company Direction.

Henry is a member of the main operating board, with joint full time responsibilities for the growth, operational and risk management strategies of the British Isles trust business. Formerly a, he was responsible for a portfolio of mainly UK based private clients with a particular emphasis on landed estates and related business interests. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Henry started his career with PwC in Ireland before joining the Jersey practice in 1982, where he worked in the audit practice until he switched disciplines in 1991 to the trust and fiduciary practice of Abacus Financial Services Group ( Abacus ). Prior to assuming his current role with RBC in 2004, he was Director and Head of Trust and Fiduciary Services for a leading private bank in the Channel Islands. In 1994, he entered private client wealth management, joining Abacus Financial Services Group ( Abacus ) where he had responsibility for managing a portfolio of CIS clients, specifically those from Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Georgia, as well as UK residents including entrepreneurs, hedge fund managers, private equity executives and beneficiaries of family wealth. Phil became a Director of Abacus in 2000 and joined RBC in 2005, following the company s acquisition of Abacus. Given Alan s background as a trust lawyer, a key element of his role involves working closely with RBC s fiduciary professionals and families legal advisors on the resolution of contentious matters and challenges to trust structures. He is also heavily involved in business development and has spoken and written on a variety of technical fiduciary subjects, including international trust law, philanthropy, foundations and Sharia compliant trusts. Alan currently sits on the editorial board of the Jersey and Guernsey Law Review, is President of the Jersey Association of Trust Companies, Deputy Chairman of Jersey s Institute of Law, one of Jersey s Law Commissioners and an Academician of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law. A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists, Alan embarked on a legal career following the completion of a law degree at St. Catharine s College, Cambridge. After qualifying as an English Barrister, he returned to Jersey and qualified as a Jersey Advocate in 1984, before being appointed a Crown Advocate. Alan was a Partner in the Jersey law firm Mourant du Feu & Jeune from 1985 to 2009, specializing for many years in commercial litigation and the formation and administration of structures for high net worth families. He joined RBC in 2009, following the company s acquisition of Mourant Private Wealth.

Daniel Bisson +44 (0) 1481 744395 Email: daniel.bisson@rbc.com Based in Guernsey, Daniel assumes a business development role, which involves maintaining and developing relationships with key intermediaries, supporting clientfacing fiduciary teams in their business development endeavours and raising awareness about RBC s global fiduciary capability. His core focus is Latin America and the planning and establishment of fiduciary structures for clients from this region, including foundations, trusts, unit trusts, limited partnerships and private trust companies. Daniel is particularly well versed in cross-border, immigration and succession planning. A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Daniel began his career in financial services in 1997 with an international trust company, where he managed a portfolio of ultra high net worth Brazilian and Venezuelan clients with international business and financial interests. Daniel joined RBC in 2009 and was promoted to Director in 2012. In recent years, she has been involved in the purchase of a franchise food business in the UK, the redomicilation of a trust to the Caribbean and dealt with some complex tax planning situations for a number of clients. Administrators, Trish began her financial career in 1984 at a prominent owner managed trust company, before joining Abacus Financial Services Group in 2000 which was acquired by RBC in 2005. She became an Associate Director in 2009. Trish has completed both the Jersey Company and Trust Administration Certificate. In addition to administering a variety of assets, such as cash, marketable securities, real estate and private companies, Gerard frequently manages significant business transactions on behalf of clients and institutions. In recent years, he has managed the restructure of the business interests of a prominent European family, was involved in the first cross border merger involving a Jersey company and has overall responsibility for managed trust company arrangements in the Middle East and Europe. A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Gerard entered the financial services industry in 1988 when he joined RBC after graduating from Jacksonville University in Florida in 1987 with a BSc degree. After holding roles in relationship management, financial planning and management consulting in Canada, Gerard transferred to RBC in Jersey in 2001. Gerard has earned financial planning designations from both the Institute of Canadian Bankers and the Financial Planners Standards Council of Canada, and holds an MBA from York University in Ontario. In recent years, he has managed the restructuring of significant family assets through the use of a Jersey Family Partnership and is regularly involved in the execution of bespoke offshore tax planning for UK resident, non-domiciled individuals and their families. A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Tim started his career in financial services in 1987 when he joined the trust subsidiary of a major UK bank, where he gained substantial experience in both investments and private client wealth management. In addition to administering a variety of assets, including investments in property, managed funds, venture capital and unquoted companies, Ian is specifically involved in a family trust structure which owns significant international interests in the airline, telecommunications, health and finance industries. He has also managed a number of investments that have evolved from the stage of private company start-up to stock market flotation. Ian has worked in private client wealth management since 1984. As well as having extensive experience in trust administration, Ian also has relevant experience in fund administration, as he spent four years working within the firm s asset management department. In addition to administering a wide variety of assets, such as private and quoted investments and commercial and residential property, Mark frequently deals with significant business transactions on behalf of clients. In recent years, he has managed the sale of two major London properties for 12 million and 13.75 million for two of RBC s largest clients, and a controlling interest in a fund of hedge fund business in a deal that could reach well over 100 million. An Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England and Wales) and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Mark entered the financial services industry in 1999 after graduating from Kings College London with a BA (Hons) degree in Geography. He began his career as a Graduate Trainee at KPMG where he qualified as an accountant and was appointed an Assistant Manager of the company s auditing department. Mark moved into private client wealth management with RBC in 2005 and assumed his current role in 2012. Barry works closely with corporate finance firms, lawyers and other professional advisors in the structuring of a range of property funds. A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England and Wales) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Barry started his career in financial services in 1984. Following a period as a Partner in a firm of accountants, he retrained as a lawyer commencing his legal studies at the College of Law in 1996 and then at Exeter University where he gained a LLM in International Business Law with Distinction. He has established a wide range of trusts and other fiduciary structures, including private trust companies, reserved powers trusts and partnerships, often for families with extensive international interests and those connected to forced heirship jurisdictions. John also has extensive experience in the development of tax-efficient structures for clients moving to new jurisdictions, particularly Canada. A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, John began his career in private client wealth management in 1986. He has held several senior roles with a number of major financial institutions, the most recent of which was at a leading private bank where he was European Head of Business Development and a Director of their Trust Department.
