Our LMS for grades K 8, the K 12 Online School (OLS), provides a continually updated view of student progress for teachers, parents, and students. For high school, our LMS also hosts online courses and course management tools. Integrated gradebook and calendar tools help teachers and students plan and track their progress. A dashboard view shows how students are performing across their courses at a glance. And discussion boards support interaction among students in class settings. Kmail, our e-mail application, is integrated with the LMS and provides a secure network for student, teacher, parent, and school administration communications. Our student information system supports the management of online schools and provides access to performance data for better decision making. The student information system is integrated with our LMS so that teachers and administrators can maintain all student files. The system can be used for school reporting, grading, transcripts, class/teacher scheduling, progress evaluations, student enrollment, and course placement. K 12 Instruction Our teachers are extensively trained power users of the K 12 curricula. They are available to quickly fill a temporary position or provide a permanent online teaching solution. K 12 teachers will provide your students with high-quality instruction and support through online classroom settings, one-to-one feedback, and individualized assistance by phone, chat, and e-mail. With more than 900 state-certified teachers, we can fill gaps in teaching staff for: Low enrollment courses Specialty electives Courses with teachers in short supply (e.g., AP Economics or Japanese) Sabbaticals or long-term absences K 12 Instruction is optional in the K 12 Partner Program. Professional Development K 12 has successfully trained more than 5,000 teachers through our comprehensive training program. Your teachers can receive training in this new instructional model and expand their skill set and potentially earn continuing education credits! We provide options for startup training for teachers who are new to the curriculum as well as ongoing professional development for all of our full-time online programs. For new teacher training, you can choose the format that works best for you: virtual asynchronous, virtual synchronous, or onsite training for groups.
