Swiss-quality training, wherever you re with us Grüezi! At Swiss AviationTraining we believe in developing people by sharing our aviation expertise. And in all our activities, our prime aim is to adopt a training solution that is specifically tailored to your particular needs. As a member of the SWISS Group, we have made traditional Swiss values a cornerstone of our philosophy. So reliability and precision are as vital to us as our total commitment to safety and our personal and professional service approach. Not that our services are limited to our Zurich home base. We offer our training in Munich and Frankfurt, too. All three sites are close to the airport; and at all three we ll provide you with an aviation training experience that is totally geared to your service emphases and your operational needs. In doing so we make full use of our Airbus, Embraer, Avro and Agusta simulators, our cabin mock-ups and our smaller simulator facilities. And, of course, of our skilled and experienced instructors who, with their vast operating expertise, ensure that all our training is closely aligned to real working practice. Wherever you train with us Zurich, Munich, Frankfurt or your company we ll do our utmost to meet your needs before, during and after. So that you ll return to work not just with the skills you ve acquired, but with a little of our SAT philosophy and our thoroughly Swiss attitude and approach. I wish you a wonderful stay. Sincerely, Marcel Witzig Chief Executive Officer

Your all-in training partner Who we are Swiss Aviation Training (SAT) is a fully-owned subsidiary of Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. With our decades of Swiss airline training expertise and on-the-job experience, we train pilots, cabin crew members and maintenance technicians to the highest possible standards; and we enable trainers and instructors, too, to gain further qualifications. Our clients extend to a number of international airlines, as well as other major service providers. SAT is an Approved Training Organization (ATO) including type rating training, whose courses are approved by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and many further aviation authorities. SAT Technical training is an EASA Part-147-compliant Maintenance Training Organization (MRO), which is also approved by the Australian and Russian authorities and is widely accepted by further national authorities and the FAA. What we are Practical With our highly-experienced instructors, your training will be geared as closely and consistently as possible to the real world of day-to-day flight operations, with a prime and constant focus on operational safety and cost-effective training. Our extensive ties with Swiss International Air Lines and Lufthansa also enable us to incorporate a vast amount of operational and maintenance data into our courses. Experienced All our instructors at SAT are highly qualified. Together they can draw on a wealth of global aviation industry experience, enabling us to offer and demand standards of performance that are closely based on genuine airline realities. Our instructors also channel all their expertise into making our training courses as useful and practical as possible. Focused All our type-specific training courses are tailored precisely to your needs. With its state-of-the-art facilities, which range from computerbased training to full-flight simulators and our virtual maintenance trainer, the SAT training environment is as close to operating reality as it is possible to get. Online Our wide range of courses and training tools can all be found and booked by our customers online. We also offer a broad selection of e-learning programmes which are available anywhere and at any time, and which offer a particularly efficient and cost-effective solution to your crew training needs. Swiss Having its roots in Switzerland, SAT puts a strong emphasis on precision, perfection and reliability, all key features of the Swiss character. Our Swissness also gives us a deep and genuine appreciation of multicultural considerations. These attributes are valued all over the world. Which is why they re such a vital element in all our training activities not only in Zurich, but in Munich and Frankfurt, too.

Tailored and flexible training solutions What we offer SAT provides all-round training that is practical, multicultural, flexible and efficient. Be it for initial or advanced training and for cockpit crew, cabin crew or maintenance personnel, we devise tailored training solutions that are specifically aligned to your service and operating needs. And whatever those requirements may be, we ll remain keenly focused on your issues, questions and concerns throughout your training programme. We can draw in all our activities on a wide selection of advanced training facilities. These include our extensive range of training devices covering Airbus, BAe146/Avro RJ, Embraer, Legacy and Lineage Executive Jets, as well as Diamond and further aircraft types, of which we make full and extensive use in all our courses and for all our target groups. Our courses, services and facilities are also provided in an ideal training environment that is as safe, realistic and practice-oriented as possible. To round off our service range, we also offer a number of further courses on topics such as fear of flying, business etiquette, first aid, appearance & behaviour and more. And we ve acquired an additional specialization in the healthcare sector, where we provide human factors training for medical teams. Zurich, Munich and Frankfurt: our three European training locations At SAT we take a holistic training approach: we believe that your entire stay with us is part and parcel of the training experience. So we re particularly pleased to have sited our three training centres in such appealing locations. Zurich and Munich are justly reputed for their high quality of living and their delightful surroundings; and Frankfurt is one of Europe s most vibrant metropolises, with a host of cultural attractions. Zurich: a Swiss city renowned worldwide SAT s Zurich training facilities are adjacent to Zurich Airport. As well as air services to destinations all over the world, the airport also offers a fabulous range of smart shops and a wide choice of restaurants and cafés, and is an ideal starting point for excursions near and far. Zurich is the capital of Canton Zurich. The city stands on the River Limmat, where it flows out of Lake Zurich. The largest city in Switzerland with a current population of around 390,000, it s a thriving cultural centre, and is frequently voted one of the world s most desirable cities to live in. Zurich today boasts not only numerous museums, theatres and concert halls but some 500 bars, nightclubs and discos, too. The city is also home to both Zurich University and one of Switzerland s two prestigious Federal Institutes of Technology, the ETHZ, which produced seven Nobel science laureates between 1975 and 2002 alone. Munich: Germany s highest quality of living Lufthansa s Munich Flight Training Center is located conveniently close to Munich Airport. SAT operates an Embraer 170/175/190 full-flight simulator here, and offers type training that is closely and carefully aligned to the specific wishes and needs of each airline customer. Munich, with its population of some 1.4 million, is considered to have the highest quality of living of any German city. The capital of Bavaria (and the state s biggest city), it is home to numerous national and international authorities, key institutes of science and technology and major theatres and museums. With its wide range of sights, international sports events, trade shows and congresses and its legendary Oktoberfest beer festival, Munich attracts large numbers of visitors every year. It s also one of Germany s most economically successful and fastest-growing cities. Frankfurt: the metropolis at the heart of Europe Frankfurt, which is home to the main Lufthansa Flight Training Center, is Germany s fifth-biggest city after Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne. With its central location, it s a key European traffic hub and a major industrial, trade fair and services centre, and plays an equally vital role in Germany s financial sector. The city has various sights to offer, too, such as the Main Tower, the Goethe Museum and the Alte Oper, along with a truly impressive skyline.
