ETHERNET CONNECT. CONNECT YOUR BUSINESS WITH A FLEXIBLE, HIGH-PERFORMANCE NETWORK THAT S BUILT FOR RELIABILITY. I can t believe how much I ve done already. Link your sites across the UK with one secure private network Make it easier for people to get more done in less time Have the flexibility to add more sites whenever you need to.
TECHNOLOGY THAT HELPS YOU DO MORE. Making sure everyone can keep in touch and work together can be a challenge, especially when they re in different parts of the country. And then there s providing your people with fast and secure access to business applications and information as well as connecting new sites. So you might be thinking about how you can create a Wide Area Network (WAN) that makes it easier to share data, keeps everyone connected and supports your business. That s where Ethernet Connect can help to bring your business together. THE BENEFITS. Ethernet Connect can help connect all your sites and converge your voice and data on one secure private network. And, with a flat-rate quarterly fee and no usage charges, you can easily keep control of your budget. Here s how else it can help your business: Design and run your network your way. Our standard Ethernet Connect gives you the freedom to design your network in a way that works best for you. You get to choose both the bearer type and port speeds at each site which makes it easy to add sites or increase bandwidth when needed. For example, if your business is seasonal you can flex down to save costs and flex up to handle increased demand. You ll also keep control of your IP architecture and choose your own Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), routers and routing tables. You can set up and run things exactly as and when you like. We ll provide guidance on how to get the most out of your new service but if you d like us to manage this for you, we d be happy to. Get the best performance. We understand that some things are business critical. That s why Ethernet Connect offers you Class of Service (CoS), so you can prioritise the applications and traffic that are most important to your business. And with jitter, latency and packet loss targets, you ll be able to run time-sensitive applications like Citrix, IP Voice and video without reducing quality. Support your business in every way. Keep your business connected any way you like. Ethernet Connect will work in a variety of configurations, making it easy and cost-effective to add new sites when you need to. Being ethernet-based, our solution supports most protocols. That means you can continue to use ethernet-based legacy systems as well as deploy the latest innovative technologies. You also get to choose from a range of access types and speeds from 1Mbps to 1Gbps and port speeds from 200Kbps to 1Gbps. That way, you only pay for what you need and waiting on large data files, should be a thing of the past. Keep your information private. Ethernet Connect offers you total peace of mind. We ll give you a dedicated link that doesn t use the internet so you don t need to worry about internet-related security risks. YOU CAN USE ETHERNET CONNECT TO: Enable your people to share information and access applications securely across the UK Create your own secure, private network that doesn t use the internet Prioritise your critical traffic like Citrix, thin client, SAP, voice and video Support non-ip legacy technologies and new developments such as multi-cast and IPv6.
A NETWORK THAT S FULLY FLEXIBLE. There are a number of ways you can set up your network with Ethernet Connect, including: Point-to-point connections. We ll provide an E-Line by creating an Ethernet Private Line which runs across the Ethernet Connect core network. Birmingham Newcastle Access Circuit Ethernet Private Line Point of Presence (PoP) Hub-and-spoke configuration. This can be created with Ethernet Virtual Private Lines. It uses access circuits to our Ethernet Connect core network and multiple Ethernet Virtual Connections (EVCs) to carry your traffic over the core network to your hub sites. Edinburgh Birmingham Newcastle Access Circuit Ethernet Private Line Ealing Westminster Point of Presence (PoP)
Any-to-any configuration. We provide an E-LAN to create an any-to-any configuration by using a combination of access circuits and dynamic EVCs into our Ethernet Connect core network. You may also know this as Ethernet Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS). Edinburgh Birmingham Newcastle E-LAN Access Circuit Virtual Circuit Ealing Westminster Point of Presence (PoP) PROTECT YOUR MOST CRITICAL SITES. We know that some sites, such as your head office or data centre, are more important to your business. That s why we offer different levels of protection that help to minimise any potential downtime and any subsequent impact on your business: Standard service target availability is 99.93% and uses a single optical fibre between the Network Terminating Equipment (NTE) at your site and our Point of Presence (PoP). Protected service increases the target availability to 99.97%. This uses a second diversely routed optical fibre, which automatically switches if the link fails between our PoP and your site. Diverse service increases your useable bandwidth and target availability to 99.998%. This provides a second diversely routed optical fibre between our PoP and your site with a second NTE. Diverse Plus services increases your useable bandwidth and target availability to 99.999%. This is provided via two different PoPs and optical fibres to your site. This reduces the potential downtime of your most important sites to just 25 minutes over a 5-year contract. * If you d like advice, our technical specialists are happy to discuss your requirements to help ensure that your resilience option meets your business needs. * Calculation based on a percentage of total minutes in a year (60 x 24 x 365).
SERVICE GUARANTEED. You ll have the peace of mind that our solution offers you: 1. On-time delivery guarantee 2. 3. An agreed target for repairs. We guarantee that we ll carry out repairs within 5 hours Compensation if we don t keep our promise, we ll automatically credit part of the connection fee and/or the annual rental.
