New to 1. investing 1.1 Your first trade with E TRADE. If you re not a seasoned trader just yet, don t worry. We ll help you out with some unique tools and essential support to get you started. The best place to start is our New Investor Website, which has some handy hints and trading tips to make things as straightforward as possible. Visit etrade.com.au to have a look. If there s a specific question you d like to ask, you can call our New Investor Hotline on 1800 786 257 8am to 8pm (AEST) Monday to Friday, where our dedicated team of friendly Client Service Consultants are specifically trained to talk you through the site and answer any questions you have. You might want to get started with the E TRADE SharePack. This allows you to invest in eight shares, pre-selected by independent analyst recommendations, in a single straightforward transaction. Alternatively, an Exchange Traded Fund ( ETF ) is a popular trading strategy that allows you to invest in a market rather than a single company, so the value of your investment has the potential to grow as the market index rises. We also understand that, even if you re just getting started, you ll want as much information as possible on which to base your big decisions. Our top 10 stocks list will allow you to see which stocks are most commonly traded by E TRADE customers, so you can invest with more confidence. The best investment advice we can give you is simple: keep learning. For more information on any of our products and services, visit etrade.com.au 4

Make share trading your next big adventure. Take your first steps with us. 5

For some experienced investors, Options trading may be an effective investment strategy and, with E TRADE s sophisticated trading platform, you now have the freedom to trade Options and equities in one online account.^ You can also expand your trading strategies with E TRADE s Options Finder Tool, powerful pricing and analysis tools, and online multi-leg orders. Learn more at etrade.com.au under products ^Derivative products such as Options can be complex and may not be suitable for some investors. Before purchasing a derivative product you should obtain the Product Disclosure Statement and consider the Statement carefully before making any decision. The information and any advice in this document has been prepared without taking account of your objectives, financial situation or needs. Before acting upon any advice, you should consider whether it is appropriate for you. If necessary, seek appropriate professional advice. For Options rates and fees visit etrade.com.au/brokerage. 6

2.4 International Shares: Access a world of opportunities with Global Shares. With our Global Shares service, you can place international trades on some of the world markets that we support simply and quickly, just like with Australian shares. Best of all, there s no separate trading account you can view and manage your domestic and international shares all in the one place. To learn more about trading in Global Shares, visit etrade.com.au/globalshares 2.5 TRADE INDEX OPTIONS WITH E TRADE^. If you hold a view on how the market will perform as a whole, buying or selling Index Options may be a way to profit from your view, protect your share portfolio, or earn extra income. Buying S&P/ASX 200 options gives you exposure to a share portfolio of 200 of the largest stocks on the market in one transaction. Learn more at ETRADE.COM.AU under Products 2.6 PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENTS AND EARN EXTRA INCOME WITH WARRANTS^. Investing in Warrants gives you the opportunity to achieve leveraged returns, diversify into a market sector, protect the value of underlying instruments, and earn extra income. Learn more at ETRADE.COM.AU under Products ^You should consider your own investment objectives, financial situation or particular needs before making an investment decision. Options and Warrants are a type of leveraged product, so gains and losses can be magnified when compared to traditional index trading/investing. It is highly recommended that investors educate themselves further about Options and Warrants and seek professional advice before implementing an Options or Warrants trade. 7

Active 2. Trader 2.7 ANZ E TRADE Share Investment Loan. The ANZ E TRADE Share Investment Loan is a convenient way to increase the size, flexibility and diversity of your portfolio, as well as your potential tax benefits. Simply borrow an agreed amount using your existing portfolio as security and, when you sell shares or pay money into the account, the loan amount reduces. You can also invest confidently, because we give you access to the largest number of stocks and your own dedicated account manager to assist you in administering your account. Better still, there are no monthly repayments and no account fees on loans over $20,000. Keep in mind that the multiplier effect can work against you, magnifying losses as well as gains. We recommend you visit us at etrade.com.au to find out more about the potential risks of this type of lending. For more information on the ANZ E TRADE Share Investment Loan visit etrade.com.au select products then borrow to invest 8
