Campus Closure and Evacuation NON-ROUTINE CAMPUS CLOSURE Coverage of Clinical Services. The Department s policy regarding coverage of clinical services during non-routine campus closures requires faculty and trainees to cover, or arrange for coverage of, both outpatient and hospital-based clinical services. Each clinician must arrange coverage for any obligated services he/she is unable to provide. Clinical staff are expected to provide support as needed either onsite or from off campus. It is important to anticipate and prepare for the effects of bad weather on outpatient schedules. Clinicians and clinical support staff should plan to have sufficient information on patients to verify schedules and to prepare for the necessity of cancellations in the event the campus is closed. Departmental Emergency Contact List. All areas should have current copies of the Departmental Emergency Contact list ( Telephone Tree ). Please print this document for your information to take with you in anticipation of non-routine campus closings. Do not post in public areas. Please note the person(s) you are responsible to contact. If you do not talk to or receive a response from the person(s) you are required to contact, you are then responsible for contacting the people the unreachable person(s) should have contacted.
