All of our staff members at the Radiation Treatment Center at The Woodlands have trained at M. D. Anderson and are devoted to the core values of caring, integrity Pamela Schlembach, M.D. and discovery. Led by Assistant Professor and Radiation Oncologist Pamela Schlembach, M.D., the center s team features a complement of staff, including radiation therapists, registered nurses, dosimetrists, medical physicists and patient services coordinators all of whom are dedicated to your care. Dr. Schlembach, board certified by the American College of Radiology in Radiation Oncology, was educated in M. D. Anderson s premier practices of radiation oncology and patient care. In addition to her broad background in all cancers, her research activities have included developing treatment with Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), as well as work in breast cancer and lymphoma. Dr. Schlembach and her team use the most current technology in radiation therapy
a linear accelerator with IMRT capability, ultrasound for tumor localization, computerized tomography simulation and three-dimensional treatment planning systems. To offer you the highest quality of patient care, Dr. Schlembach works exclusively at The Woodlands center. Excellence expected and delivered The M. D. Anderson Radiation Treatment Center at The Woodlands has the capacity to treat more than 30 patients a day and is available to serve current M. D. Anderson patients, as well as others within The Woodlands, Montgomery County and surrounding areas in need of radiation treatment. By selecting the center as your place of treatment, you become a patient of M. D. Anderson s Division of Radiation Oncology while still remaining under the primary care of your personal physician or referring specialist. Dr. Schlembach and her staff will work directly with your physicians to tailor an individual treatment plan to your needs, keeping them informed throughout your treatment experience.
