Application Guidelines Who can apply? K 12 schools in Canada or the United States with which the Ministerio de Educación, Política Social y Deporte (MEPSYD) has signed a Program of Cooperation. How? Completion and submission of the application forms: http://www.mepsyd.es/exterior/usa/es/programas/isas/solicitud.shtml Positive assessment. Incorporation to the International Spanish Academy (ISA) network
Applications should include the following information: students who will participate in the program staffing requirements teacher training program objectives Curriculum plan for the evaluation of students and the program administrative support support from the Ministry of Education, Social Policy and Sport Spain plan for the implementation of the program school current and historical ratings and rankings.
Applications Curriculum The following should be specified for each grade: content areas that are taught in Spanish and/or English specific components of the Spanish language and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries plans for the teaching of Spanish as a world language materials used.
Assessment Each ISA will provide a report and activities memo at the end of the school year that provide proof they have reached all established objectives and fullfilled the planned requirements in the cooperation agreement. This document will be evaluated by the MEPSYD (Ministry of Education, Social Policy and Sport) through the Education Office in the Embassy of Spain in Washington DC.
