Hedding Street, San Jose, CA 95113 Hall of Justice: (408) 808-6600 http://www.sccsuperiorcourt.org/ Total Number of Cases: 30 2/6/07 Submitted a Records Research Request (form available in court). The clerk looked up each defendant by name and informed me as to whether: (1) defendant not in system; (2) too many defendants by that name in system; or (3) request possible. Out of 15 defendants, one was not in the system, six were too common and the clerk was unwilling to look further, and the remaining eight had multiple case files. The clerk said the sentence and offense dates would not help. 2/7/07 Resubmitted the request for the common named defendants to a different clerk. At that time, a different clerk informed me that I could look up the case numbers on the microfiche. The date was organized according by filing date so I was able to find each D s name and case number. At that time, I resubmitted the request for those six defendants. Researcher received a call from the records manager the next day inquiring about my request. I e-mailed the records manager my request and explained exactly what we were looking for. As a result, I received the bulk of the copy request on 2/23/07 and the remainder on 3/14/07. Not available for criminal cases.
