Symantec Antivirus The version that we have at IISc is Symantec Client Security 10.1.5 This is necessary for all Windows machines to minimise virus problems. The server is located in room no 109 at SERC. The clients are managed by this server. Once a week it gets updated with new virus definitions and also propagates this to the clients automatically. Hyperchem HyperChem,, is a molecular modeling product for Microsoft Windows, essentially it introduced 3D molecular graphics on the PC. HyperChem version 7.5 is installed on windows machines at SERC(I Floor Bay) License server for HyperChem software is placed at Room No-109 and the client may be anyone in the campus, i.e. it has a Floating License. Aspen Engineering Suite An Exceptional Ability to Transform Process Modeling Expertise into Model-Based Decision Support Technology. Aspen Engineering Suite : 50 licenses. This is for Windows machines. m License Server : Win 2000 Server at 109 in SERC Install the client version and use as you would any other application on windows. Advanced Aircraft Analysis 3.1 AAA provides a powerful framework to support the iterative and non-unique process of aircraft preliminary design. License Type: Network Floating License. Biosuite A comprehensive bioinformatics software package. BioSuite integrates the functions of macromolecular sequence and structural analysis, chemoinformatics and algorithms for aiding drug discovery. License Type : Node Locked. (tied to a particular machine) 2 licenses at SERC. Machines: 10.16.6.51 and 10.16.6.69 ( 10.16.6.69 (license problem) Usage : Login to one of the above machines and set path as follows /usr/local/biosuite.v.2.0/bin Then at prompt type biosuite-2.0 and press ENTER. Accelrys Accelrys software suite is composed of modeling and simulation products, providing complete simulation environments in which, one can create, view, and analyze models of molecules from materials and chemicals to small molecules, DNA to macromolecular proteins. ADF The Amsterdam Density Functional (ADF) package is software for first-principles electronic structure calculations. ADF is used by academic and industrial researchers worldwide in such diverse fields as pharmacochemistry and materials science. License Type : Node Locked, 5 Licenses for Linux machines. Policy Windows can be used by any IIScian All other machines require accounts and users requested to contact Ms.Sarala at 103 in SERC Any problems are to be reported immediately to the concerned administrators and they will attend to it immediately. Machines should not be rebooted / switched off. Please do not leave any of your property at the workstations / PCs. No eatables allowed. Do not play Games and Audio music. Maintain Silence.

Black and White SERC Printer Services HP 8100 DN Model with 1200 dpi resolution. Printing is done in the printing bay area of the CPU Room (ground floor). Quota holders can print round the clock. Users with computational accounts at SERC, can buy print quota a priori (minimum of 10 pages). The quota gets reduced automatically after each print job. User's without computational accounts at SERC, can meet the operator on duty (CPU room - ground floor, SERC) and
