WEALTH AND ASSET MANAGEMENT is designed for those who are unable to allocate much time and effort to making investment decisions. The goal of the program is to design a permanent portfolio that satisfies individual goals and requires no further effort. This program is not about theory; it is about practice. All the tools and techniques presented during the program have been applied in real-life investing situations and are based on sound concepts. Also unlike most other programs, this program is unique in offering an unbiased clear perspective without any hidden agendas. Program Objectives The main objective of the program is to provide participants with the tools and techniques to enable them to design a portfolio suitable for their individual investment objectives. To achieve this participants are systematically introduced to: i) various asset classes: stocks, bonds, money and derivatives ii) investment strategies using these assets and instruments iii) vehicles for investment: mutual funds and direct investment iv) evaluating mutual funds This is not a get rich quick program but a financial education program designed to enable participants to design portfolios to create wealth over the long term. World Class Faculty Professor Milind Rao PhD, Columbia University Professor of Business Practice, Department of Economics HKUST Business School Professor Rao taught at the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University and was a Visiting Associate Professor at the Stern School of Business at New York University. He was also a Fellow at the Levy Economics Institute. Professor Rao has extensive teaching experience in EMBA and MBA programs. He won various teaching awards including Professor of the year, Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012. He has extensive research experience on topics ranging from international macroeconomics, international finance to international trade. His current research interests include the international flows of capital and labor; hedge fund strategies, management and assessment; and design of optimal investment strategies and portfolios. Professor Rao has published numerous articles in leading international journals in the fields of economic theory, macroeconomics, international trade and international finance. He is a contributor to The Wall Street Journal, The Economic Times and Challenge among others. Professor Rao has been invited to offer consulting services to the premier US investment banks.
