This was discussed with the Athletic Director and the Gender Equity Comm itee. Coaching X Coaches'salariesareequitable. During therevisit,itwas noted that80% of coaches were m ale. Thiswasbroughtto the attention of the GenderEquity Comm itee and suggested that when possible,without sacrificing quality of coaches, inclusion of m ore female coaches would benefitthe female athletes. - 3 -

Locker Rooms, X Since the initialon site visitin 1999 the school has m ade num erous improvem ents. The off cam pus soccer stadium is used by both girls and boys.a new concession stand has been built,and new restroom s and dressing room s az'e presently being constructed, The softbal field haslights,concession stand, lockerroom, and coaching office.thelockerroom forgirls' basketbaland voleyballhas been renovated. The locker room and storage areas in the training facility have been completed. There are written locker room and storage assignmentson file in the permanenttitle IX file. The traclc has been resurfaced butis in need of resurfacing and lining again. The school has plans for new restroom s at the softbal field. Off omnpus facilities for a1 other sports are equitable. There are two washers and dryers on cam pus. One is for footbal and the second set is for a1l other sports. M edicaland X There is a trainer atschooleach day and at Training hom e athletic events.the trainerisavailable to Facilitiesand al1athletes. The weightroom isequipped with Services free weights and m achines forboth male and ' female athletes. The school has a writen schedule for weight room usage and it is posted. Publicity X Bourbon County High School has two cheerleading squads. The Competitive Squad oompetes in com petitive cheerleading events only.the Game Squad is assigned on an equal basis for girls and boys gmues. There is a m iten policy for cheerleading in the perm anent Title IX file which details the assignm entsforeach squad. The dance temn and pep band supportboth girls and boysteams equaly. There are printed schedule cardsfor a1lsports. During the intervitw segmentthe studentssaid thatseveralgood pep ralieswere held.
