IOA s Mission Providing students with the means to earn high school credit, through the delivery of dynamic, engaging, standards-based curricula. The History of The Indiana Online Academy The Central Indiana Educational Service Center acquired IOA in the fall of 2005 and now offers over 74 high-school Core 40 and AP courses. IOA continues to fulfill the mission of public education by providing an alternative option for all students to achieve academic success. IOA's purpose was to integrate key methods of teaching and learning with distributed learning technologies to create a complete, interactive, and flexible environment...so that learners of every type on any location may achieve to their personal potential.
IOA Courses Align to the Indiana state standards Meet the Core 40 and Academic Honors Diploma requirements. Are developed and taught by Indiana certified teachers. Advanced Placement are approved by the College Board. Are AdvancEd accredited and NCAA approved. Provide current information through online resources. Offer engaging multi-media and multiple intelligence lessons. Promote critical thinking, problem solving, independent learning, technology literacy, time management and 21st Century Skills. Prescriptive assessments.
