Together with the amendment published in the Official Gazette published in August 16th, 2012 of 28386 From NiğdeUniversity: Regulation NiğdeUniversity Rules and Regulations on Education and Exam Procedures In Associate and Bachelor s Degree Programs SECTION ONE Purpose, Scope, Basis and Definition Purpose and Scope Article 1 The purpose of this regulation is to regulate the rules and principles for registration-acceptance, education-training and testing processes applied in the associate and bachelor s degree programs in the faculties, schools and vocational schools of Niğde University. Basis Article 2 This regulation was prepared on the basis of Article 14 and third paragraph of Article 44 of Higher Education Law No. 2547. Definitions Article 3 In this regulation, the following terms will refer to the definitions given herein: University: NiğdeUniversity Rector and Rectorate: Rector and Rectorate of NiğdeUniversity Faculty: Faculties of NiğdeUniversity School: Schools and Vocational Schools of NiğdeUniversity Relevant Committee: Faculty Committee at Faculties, School Committee at Schools Relevant Administrative Board: Faculty s Administrative Board at the Faculties, School s Administrative Board at Schools Senate: Senate of NiğdeUniversity Curriculum: The syllabus that consists of theoretical courses and/or their practices (seminary, workshop, laboratory, clinic practices, field practices, school practices, internship, etc) that should be successfully achieved for being awarded the diploma Academic year (education-training year: the period that consists of two semesters, Fall Semester and Spring Semester, and each semester; minimum fourteen weeks excluding the periods of registration, registration renewal and final exams, and bank holidays. Academic calendar: The calendar that indicates the dates of training-education studies, final exams and exams of single course that shall be performed during the academic year Final exam: Exams held at the end of semester or at the end of year Midterm exam: Exams held during the semester or year, while the courses still continue Theoretical course: Transfer of information to the group of students Practical course: Problem solving, sketch-drawing, assignment, project, workshop, laboratory, professional practices, clinic and polyclinic practices, field studies, etc carried out in accordance with the characteristics of the course and scientific field 1 Seminary course: A study prepared and presented on a subject included in the curriculum and developed through discussion Internship (professional internship): Work performed at the specified times and related places in accordance with the characteristics of curriculum with the aim of transferring the theoretical knowledge in the field to practice Compulsory courses: The course included in the curriculum and must be successfully taken by the students to be able to graduate. 1 Amendment in the Official Gazette No. 27675 of August 17 th, 2010

Article 4 The candidate who becomes entitled to be student at faculties and schools of NiğdeUniversity performs final enrollment processes by submitting the required documents within the period specified and announced by the Rectorate. Those who cannot enroll within the specified period fail to benefit from such right. The copies of the required documents or their samples approved by the university shall be accepted. The statement of the candidate regarding the military service and criminal record shall constitute the basis for the registration. 11 The students who complete their final enrollment have to take the courses included in the curriculum of the department to which s/he is enrolled within the period stated in the academic calendar and finalize the processes. 12 Renewal of the enrollment Article 5 The student renews his/her enrollment at the beginning of each semester within the period stated in the academic calendar through paying the contribution/tuition fee. Filling in the course registration form Article 6 The student who enrolls to the university/renews his/her enrollment shall determine the courses s/he will take by filling in the course registration form under the supervision of his/her advisor. The students who newly enroll take all the courses included in the first and second semesters of the curriculum of the department they enroll.other students should first take the courses that they have to repeat.total weekly credit of the courses the students may take cannot exceed 45 credits. The courses of the students who are enrolled to the minor or double major programs are excluded from the specified credit limits, if such courses are not the common courses of major bachelor's program. 13 The student filling in the course registration form may take new courses with the approval of the advisor in the week of course add-drop stated in the academic calendar provided that they do not exceed the credit limits; drop the courses that s/he does not have to repeat or take. After the add-drop period, the student cannot take any course or delete any course s/he has already taken. The student cannot attend the courses s/he does duly not take (register) and cannot take the exams of such courses; the exam s/he takes is cancelled. The student is fully responsible for the renewal of the enrollment and filling the course registration form. The periods that are lost due to failure are regarded as the part of educationtraining period. The student who does not fill the course registration form in time may fill the form in course add-drop period, provided his/her excuse is accepted by the relevant administrative board. Taking course from upper semester Article 7 The students who do not have repeating courses and have 3.00 or higher academic average for the semesters completed may take courses (except for those prerequisite courses) from upper semester provided that they do not exceed the maximum workload. conditions for taking courses from upper semester shall not be applicable during the education of the students participating in the international exchange programs abroad. 14 Lateral and vertical transfers Article 8 Lateral transfers within the University or from other universities to the departments of University are subject to provisions of Regulation on Transfer, Double Major, Minor and Credit Transfer between Programs in Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree for Higher Education Institutions published in the Official Gazette No 27561 of 24/4/2010, and to the principles specified by the Senate. Lateral transfers are performed as per the provisions of Regulation on Transfer of Students from Vocational Schools and Open University Associate Degrees to Undergraduate Education published in the Official Gazette No. 24676 of 19/2/2002.Course exemption of the students placed through lateral transfers and orientation programs of admitted to associate degree through vertical transfers is carried out by the relevant administrative board.for the programs providing education in foreign language, the students should pass the foreign language exemption test to be carried out by the University or attend the foreign language preparatory class in order to start the associate degree programs or orientation program for associate degree.the students who were admitted through lateral transfer and were successful in the foreign language preparatory program at their previous universities may directly start their foreign associate degree programs on condition that they provide a corresponding document. 15 Student identity card Article 9 A student identity card is issued by Registrar's Office to each student enrolled to the University.The identity card of the student renewing his/her enrollment is duly marked.this card is taken from the student dismissed or graduated from the University by the relevant academic department. 16 Contribution/tuition fee Article 10 The students are liable to pay the contribution/tuition fee in an amount determined in the relevant legislation for each academic year within the periods of enrollment and/or renewal of enrollment stated in the academic calendar. The student that does not meet such requirement cannot perform the processes of enrollment and/or renewal of enrollment. Student Counseling Article 11 Head of each relevant department assigns a faculty member as the advisor of students who guide them in terms of educational-training works and university life during each academic year. Renewal of enrollment, course add-drop processes are subject to the approval of advisor. For an effective execution of counseling works, "student tracking file" is kept at each department. SECTION THREE Principles Regarding Education-Training Types of education-training Article 12 Formal education is provided at faculties and schools of the University as per the principles. However, evening education, distance education, information education, open education or extern education may be provided through the justifiable suggestions of relevant committees, resolution of Senate and approval of Council of Higher Education. Medium of instruction Article 13 Medium of instruction is Turkish except for the programs with a scientific field based on a foreign language. language fully or in part (30%) upon the suggestions of relevant committees, resolution of Senate and approval of Council of Higher Education. Foreign language preparatory program Article 14 The students whose curriculum is based fully or partially on a foreign language and the students of foreign language education program take a "Foreign Language Proficiency-Placement Exam" when they enroll to the University. The students enrolled to this program are subject to the provisions of Regulation on Education-Training and Testing Procedures of Niğde University Foreign Language Preparatory Program published in Official Gazette No. 26145 of 20/4/2006. 17 Starting the Education-Training Article 15 The education-training starts at the departments of University on the date specified in academic calendar. Academic calendar of the next academic year is arranged and announced by the Senate in May. Curriculums Article 16 Curriculums are prepared for each semester. However upon the suggestion of relevant committees, the Senate may decide to give one course at both semesters (as an annual course). Curriculums are finalized upon the suggestion of related department's/division's relevant committee and submitted to the Senate. The amendments regarding the next academic year are determined each year in May at latest basing on the same principles. In case of any amendment, adaptation is carried out by the relevant committee. Theoretical courses, practical courses, seminary courses and their internship studies are stated in the curriculum by indicating workload, times and durations. Courses categories are compulsory, elective and common compulsory. Curriculum also indicates which courses are prerequisite and their status. Four-year programs' curriculum should cover a minimum 240 credits of workload, and this workload should be minimum 120 credits for vocational schools. The principles regarding the internship studies and vocational training practices shall be specified by the Senate upon the suggestion of relevant committees. Weekly total credit workload of curriculums shall be organized as minimum 27 and maximum 33 credits. When compulsory, these limits may be changed basing on the resolution of Senate. 18 Attendance to Courses Article 17 Attendance to courses stated in curriculum and their internship studies are compulsory. The student that do not attend more than 30% of theoretical courses and 20% applied sections of practical courses are accepted as absent, and cannot take the final exam of the related course. Course credit Article 18 - Credits of the courses are determined as per ECTS. ECTS credit is a value that refers to all studies (theoretical courses, practices, seminary, individual studies, examinations, assignments, library studies, project, field studies, internship and graduation thesis, etc.) a student should carry out in order to successfully complete a course. This value indicates to the part of the workload of each course that should be completed in a full academic year in any Higher Education Institution. 21 Course exemptions Article 19 Principles regarding the course exemptions are as follows: a) Exemption exams are held for the courses specified by the Senate and performed as per the principles determined by the Senate. The students may take these exams at the beginning of the semester when they will take the course for the first time.the student can take an exam of one course only once. The student should achieve 70 points out of 100 to be successful at the exemption exam.the grades of exemption exams are stated with the abbreviation EX and are not included in the academic average. b) The student enrolled to the University may apply to the related departments for being exempt from the courses taken and successfully completed at higher education institutions where s/he had attended before for only once within the first two weeks of the academic semester when s/he first enrolled to University.For this type of exemption, the validity of the courses is limited to maximum four years, excluding common compulsory courses. The grades of the courses whose exemption are approved by the relevant administrative board shall be converted into "T" grade as per Article 30 herein and stated in the transcript. Foreign language preparatory education is excluded. 22 c) For the students admitted to the University through lateral and vertical transfers, success evaluation for exemption is performed according to the success evaluation of the previous university. 23 Education-training period Article 20- The students should successfully complete the associate degree programs within maximum four years, undergraduate programs within maximum seven years, and the programs that provide undergraduate and graduate degrees together within nine years, starting from the semester when the courses of the program s/he is enrolled are started to be lectured, regardless of the fact that s/he is enrolled to each semester. One-year foreign language preparatory education is not included in the abovementioned maximum periods. Those who cannot graduate within such periods can be enrolled to continue their education by paying the contribution/tuition fee of the related semester. Their status as a student shall continue without providing any other right except for attending the courses and exams, and writing thesis. The students that cannot complete their undergraduate degree programs may be awarded associate diploma or adapted to vocational schools as per the provisions of Regulation on Awarding Associate Diploma to Those who Do Not or Cannot Complete Their Undergraduate Program or Adapting Them to Vocational Schools published in Official Gazette No. 20112 of 18/3/1989.The education period does not include the periods for preparatory program and periods for freezing registration.in the event thata student gets suspended from school, this period of penalty shall be included in the period of study, and the student has to pay contribution/tuition fee. 24 21 Amendment in the Official Gazette No. 28037 of August 26 th, 2011 22 Amendment in the Official Gazette No. 28386 of August 16 th, 2012 23 Amendment in the Official Gazette No. 27675 of August 17 th, 2010 24 Amendment in the Official Gazette No. 28037 of August 26 th, 2011
Minor programs Article 21 The students enrolled to any program may be registered to a minor program in addition to their undergraduate program, if they wish. Minor program does not mean a separate undergraduate program. Minor program is opened upon the request of relevant department, suggestion by committee of faculty/school and resolution of Senate.Principles of minor program are specified by Senate and executed by the cooperation of relevant departments. 25 Double major program Article 22 Students may follow another undergraduate program which is close to their own departments in terms of subject. Principles regarding the double major program are specified through a directive by Senate. Summer school Article 23 Summer school may be opened as an addition to fall and spring semesters. Principles regarding summer school are determined through a separate regulation. SECTION FOUR Exams Forms of exams Article 24 The exams may be held as written, oral, applied, written-oral, writtenoral-applied, written-applied, oral-applied.forms and weights of exams shall be determined by the lecturer responsible for the courses and announced to the students within two weeks of the first semester. 26 Lecturer responsible for the exam and duration of exam Article 25 The lecturer responsible for the exam is the faculty member who is lecturing the related course. In the event that a faculty member is not assigned, relevant administrative board shall determine the person that will hold the exam. The duration of the exam is specified by the faculty member to hold the exam and announced to the students at the beginning of the exam. Exam Types Article 26 The exams and exam principles applied in the university are as follows: a) Midterm Exam: At least one midterm exam for each course is applied in each semester. Evaluation of such courses as project, thesis, laboratories, workshops and similar studies is substituted for semester midterm exam. The number, scope, format and assessment features of midterm exams shall be determined by the relevant board. Two midterm exams of the courses scheduled in the same semester shall be done on the same day at most. Midterm exam schedule is announced by the related units until at least two weeks before the date of the first mid-term exam from the beginning of the semester. The student who does not attend the exam without an excuse or whose excuse is not appropriate shall be considered to have (0). Midterm exam results are announced within fifteen days from the date of the exam. 27 b) Final Exam: The students who fulfill attendance take the final exam of a course. These exams are conducted between the dates specified in the academic calendar and the day, hour and place are organized by the relevant departments and announced at least two weeks before. Exam results are announced within one week from the date of the exam. Administrative Board decides the evaluation of a theoretical course and its application by separate exams and connection with each other when necessary. 28 c) Exemption Exam: Exemption exams for courses designated by the Senate are made at the beginning of the academic year. In order to be considered as successful at exemption exams, it is compulsory to take at least 70 points out of 100. EX stands for the grades gained from exemption exams and are not included in the academic average. The principles on these examinations shall are prepared by the administration of the relevant department and presented to the Senate. 29 d) One-Course Exam: The students who have only one course, except internship, to pass although they became entitled to take final exam in to be able to graduate shall be regarded as successful by being granted TB letter grade, if their general academic average is 3.00 or above. Those with a general academic average below 3.00 may be able to take onecourse exam on the date specified in academic calendar upon the resolution of relevant administrative board, provided that they apply with a petition. Irrespective of mid-term exam grade, to take at least CC is enough to be successful. The unsuccessful students shall fulfill the procedures of re-registration and fill the registration form during the add-drop period. 30 g) Excuse Exam: Excuse exam is only used in place of mid-term exams. The students who do not take these exams shall have the right to take mid-term exam in the same semester following the excuse in accordance with the program prepared by the relevant administrative board. A second excuse exam right is not granted for excuse exam. 31 The students are required to take exams on the days including weekend, time and place declared beforehand and keep their student IDs and any other documents requested with them. Otherwise, the exams shall be void. The grade of the students who did not qualify for the exam is cancelled even if the note has been declared. 32 h) Make-Up Exam: The right to make-up exams can be exercised for the courses taken in the related semester or academic year, or for the courses the student is entitled to take the final exam but failed to be successful in the final exams and for the courses the student become entitled to take the final exam but could not take the exam. These exams are held on the dates stated in the academic calendar, on days, at times and places in the programs prepared by the relevant departments. The results are announced within one week following the date of exam. The success conditions of final exams are fully applicable for the make-up exams. The rate of make-up exam grade to the success grade is the same as the rate of final exam grade to the success grade. Make-up exam grade is used for the final exam grade. The students may take the make-up exam for the courses with a conditional pass or receiving higher grades. Cheating Article 27 Those who cheat, attempt to cheat or help cheating are considered to have zero and subjected to legal action pursuant to the Regulation on the Discipline for Students in Higher Education Institutions published in the Official Gazette No. 18634 of 13/1/1985. Announcement of the exam results, objection and the finalization of the grades Article 28 The exam results are announced by the relevant departments. Students can raise their objection to any exam results with a petition and submit it to the relevant dean s office and directorate on the grounds of error of fact in seven working days following announcement date of the exam results at the latest. The result of the exam student raised objection to shall be evaluated by a commission consisting the relevant lecturer, department / program head and dean / deputy principal and reported to the Dean's Office / directorate to be made the necessary adjustments on condition that an error of fact is detected. After the end of the seven-day period, no changes shall be processed even if requested by the instructor responsible for the course or the student. The changes requested within the period shall be concluded by the Relevant Administrative Boards within fifteen days at the latest from the date of submission and sent to the Registrar s Office. Storing the exam documents Article 29 Exam documents shall be delivered to the Registrar s Office with the note charts. Exam documents apart from note charts shall be stored by the Registrar s Office at least two years. SECTION FIVE Evaluation and Graduation Certificates Success Grade Article 30 Success grade is determined by evaluating the tests scores out of 100. Status in a lesson is determined by success grade. Success grade is determined by the joint evaluation of semester success grade obtained from studies carried out during semester and success grade obtained from general exams held at the end of the semester. Studies carried out during semester are attendance to course and application, field work, practice, assignment, project, internship, workshop, seminar, laboratory and similar studies. Determining the student semester success grade, these studies can be evaluated at certain rate with mid-term exam in the last week stated in the academic calendar. The impact of general exam to course success score can be minimum 40 % and maximum 60 %. Within the first two weeks of the semester, the instructor in charge of course shall announce the impact rates of semester success grade and general exams to success grade in addition to the application type of studies carried out during semester by students in order to be regarded as successful. Relative evaluation system is used in calculation of success grade. In relative evaluation, arithmetic average of course success score of all students taking course and statistical distribution shall be taken into account. Implementation principles of relative evaluation system are determined by the Senate. Letter Grade and Grade Points shall be determined as below: Course Grade Grade Points AA 4,00 BA 3,50 BB 3,00 CB 2,50
CC 2,00 DC 1,50 DD 1,00 FD 0,50 FF 0,00 The Codes shall be defined as: a) P: Successful at the end of the first semester for a yearlong course, b) EX: Successful in an exemption exam held by the university, c) NI: Assigned for course not included in CGPA d) NA: Unsuccessful because of not fulfilled the attendance and/or laboratory requirements e) T: Transfer course grade. f) TB: Successful for one-course through general academic average 34 A student is considered to be successful in a course if s/he gets one of the following grades: AA, BA, BB, CB, CC, or EX. A student who gets DC or DD grades from one or some of the courses is considered to be successful in these courses if the student is successful in other courses taken at the same semester and her/his Grade Point Average (GPA) is at least 2.00 or higher including the courses with DC or DD grades. "T" stands for the received course grade of the transferred students from other departments and universities and its equivalence is adopted by the Faculty/School Board on the recommendation of Department Chair. "T" and "TB" grades are not included in GPA calculations. 35 Academic Average Article 31 Success of a student is determined by calculating Semester Point Average and Grade Point Average. Weighted grade point is calculated by multiplying the course credit with the coefficient. The semester GPA is calculated by dividing the total amount of grade points of courses gained in that semester by the total amount of ECTS credits of courses taken in the semester. The yearlong courses are included in the spring semester GPA. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is calculated by dividing the total amount of grade points of all the courses in the curriculum to be taken by the total amount of credits. When calculating academic average, two digits after the decimal point are taken. The number in the second digit is enhanced one on condition that the number in the third digit after decimal point is five and above. Minor and double major courses and T grade courses even if stated in academic plan are not considered in calculating academic average. Students can optionally repeat DD, DC and CC grade courses to increase their academic average. The last taken grades of these courses are included in academic average. 37 7 Repeating courses Article 32 The courses of FD, FF, NA grades and the ones with DC or DD grades as they are regarded as unsuccessful when the GPA is below 2.00 shall be taken again in the first semester where the course is opened. 38 On condition that the student fails in an elective course; s/he can take other elective courses instead of this course until the end of add-drop week upon the reasoned decision of the Relevant Administrative Board. The student has to take another elective course instead of the one s/he fails in to be considered successful at an elective course. Graduation and date of graduation Article 33 The student have to be successful in all the courses and compulsory internship s/he need to take in accordance with the academic plan of the department/program s/he is enrolled in order to graduate. The student's graduation date is the last day of the exam period when s/he successfully completes the academic plan or the date when s/he successfully completes the works such as internship, thesis project of field studies. The student who cannot meet the minimum credit required by the program and have a CGPA of less than 2.00 cannot graduate. 39 Graduation certificates Article 34 Graduation certificates shall be "Provisional Certificate of Graduation", "Diploma", "Diploma Supplement" and "Document Substitutes Diploma". In this regulation, these terms shall refer to the definitions given herein: a) Provisional Certificate of Graduation: The document with photo signed by the supervisor (dean / director) of the related unit given to the graduating student until her/his diploma is prepared. Information and shape of this document is determined by the Rectorate and shall be returned when receiving the diploma. b) Diploma: The main graduation certificate signed by the dean / director and rector; the information written and the shape of this document shall be determined by the Rectorate. c) Diploma Supplement: The document given to the graduate students in addition to their diplomas, approved by the Board of Higher Education and edited in English. d) Document Substitutes Diploma: The copy of the diploma given due to loss in lieu of a diploma. Diplomas and Provisional Certificate of Graduation shall be given to owner or her/his legal representative in person or through official institutions s/he works. The shapes of Graduation certificates shall be prepared by the Department of Registrar s Office. 42 SECTION SIX Deregistration and Dismissal Deregistration Article 35 On condition that the student who wants to end her/his enrolment voluntarily applies in written and The Registrar s Office or the relevant dean s office/ directorates end her/his enrolment. The student who wants to end her/his enrolment voluntarily shall pay contribution margin / tuition fees and return the student identification card. 43 Dismissal Article 36 The following students shall be dismissed from the university upon the decision of Relevant Administrative Board: a) Those who are enrolled to two different undergraduate degrees or two different associate degrees at the same time, except for the open university program with no quota 44 c) Those who are sentenced to dismissal from a higher education institution in accordance with the Regulation on the Higher Education Institution Student Disciplinary 45 In the case of the situation stated in the subsection (a), even though the students graduate from the university, their graduation documents shall be nullified and legal action shall be taken if necessary. Giving the high school diploma Article 37 The student who cancel their enrolment in the university, or dismissed or graduate from the university shall be given her/his high school diploma to her/himself or her/his legal representative if requested stating the enrolment and leaving dates and reasons for leaving at the back of the diploma. SECTION SEVEN Excuses and Related Transactions Justified and valid excuses Article 38 The followings shall be the reasonable and valid excuses: a) The health-related excuse documented in a report given by the university or formal or private health institutions with the authority to admit patients, b) The interruption of education due to the events that would result in disruption of education upon the decision of Council of Higher Education in accordance with the third paragraph, subparagraph (2), subsection (d) of the first paragraph of Article 7 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, c) The case that the student obliged to suspend her/his education due to natural disasters provided that it will be documented with a certificate by the administrative chief of the province, d) The case that the student obliged to suspend her/his education due to the serious illness in the first degree relatives by blood or marriage, in the absence of anyone else to care, provided that it will be documented and accepted by the relevant administrative board, 42 Amendment in the Official Gazette No. 27675 of August 17th, 2010 43 Amendment in the Official Gazette No. 27675 of August 17th, 2010 44 Amendment in the Official Gazette No. 28386 of August 16th, 2012 45 Amendment in the Official Gazette No. 28037 of August 26th, 2011
e) The case that the student obliged to suspend her/his education due to economic reasons provided that it will be documented by official documents, f) The final judgment issued by a criminal court in terms of the content and results and the conviction or detention of the student that does not require removing the title or the issuance due to a crime according to the Discipline Regulation the student subject to, g) The conscription of the student due to the vacation of suspension, h) The case that the student is obliged to suspend her/his education due to the emergence of such facilities as scholarships, internships, research, and etc. that contribute to the student's education, ı) The students who represent our university or country in international sporting events in the event of their excuses are accepted by the Administrative Board of the University, j) The other excuses accepted by the Relevant Administrative Board and approved by the Administrative Board of the University apart from the ones mentioned above. Transactions of excuse Article 39 Student excuses shall be decided by the relevant administrative board in the presence of the reasonable and valid reasons. Relevant dean s office or directorate shall be notified about the reasonable and valid grounds for the adoption of the excuse, together with supporting documents, within a week after the end of excuse. Applications not made on time shall not be accepted. The followings shall be the rights granted upon the decision of Relevant Administrative Board to the students whose excuse is adopted: a) Excuse Exam: The exam defined in this Regulation Article 26, the first paragraph, subsection (g). b) Permission (Freezing Registration): Registration of the students can be frozen for in a way not to exceed one year at one time and Requests to freeze the registration should be filed within the re-registration period. These frozen periods shall not exceed half of normal period of study. This rights hall be used within the normal period of study and these frozen periods shall not be deemed in the maximum period of study. Students shall continue their education by fulfilling the necessary process at the end of the frozen period. However, those who use this right via medical board report shall certify that they are in a position to continue their education in the same manner. Students shall not take the exam during the time they are excused. The ones taken during the frozen period shall be void. SECTION EIGHT Miscellaneous and Final Provisions Notification and Address Article 40 Any notice shall be considered as complete sent via certified mail to the address given by the student to the university during registration. Any notice shall be considered as complete sent via certified mail to the present address of the student whose address changes and s/he does not informs the Registrar s Office or the one who has given false or incomplete address. Authority Article 41 The issues required by the differences in the education programs of the faculties and schools and other issues related to education and training and exam that are not included in this Regulation shall be arranged upon the decision of the committees and the
approval of the Senate. University Senate shall make direct arrangements related to the application. Special Students Article 42 The ones who are competent enough to follow courses and other university s students shall take a maximum of two courses as a special student in order to increase their knowledge on specific issues upon the decision of Relevant Administrative Board. These students are required to abide by all the rules set for the courses they enrolled. Special students are not awarded a diploma. However they are granted a document indicating courses they are enrolled in and their grades for these courses by the Registrar s Office. Special students are supposed to pay the tuition fee which will be determined for the unit opening the course for that semester. The ones who are dismissed from any higher education institution before shall not be a special student. General Appearance and Mode of Dressing Article 43 Abolished. 46 Superseded Regulation Article 44 Niğde University Regulation on Associate and Undergraduate Education and Exams published in the Official Gazette No. 25583 of 14/9/2004 shall be annulled. Temporary Article 1 - Abolished. 47 Temporary Article 2 - Abolished. 48 Temporary Article 3 - Abolished. 49 Validity Article 45 The second paragraph of Article 6 of this Regulation shall enter into effect at the beginning of 2010-2011 academic year and the other articles shall be applicable for the students registered to the University as of 2005-2006 academic year. The students who are enrolled at the University before 2005-2006 academic years shall be subject to the provisions of the Niğde University Rules and Regulations on Education and Exam Procedures In Associate and Bachelor s Degree Programs.
