Mojo Surveys 2.6 Getting Started Guide CRM 2013 Fusion Software Ltd www.fusionsoftware.com Version 2.6
Introduction Welcome to the Mojo Surveys 2.0 Getting Started Guide. The guide is intended to provide a level information only to enable users to perform the basic actions within Mojo Surveys. We assume you have access to at least the trial version of Mojo Surveys and it has been setup by Fusion Software or an authorised partner. An installation guide is available upon request. For more detailed information, please read the accompanying Mojo Surveys - User Guide available from http://fusionsoftware.com/docs/mojo-releases/user-guide-13
Exploring Mojo Surveys Mojo Surveys can be split into two broad components: CRM solution this is used to design the surveys, publish surveys, send invites to respondents and storing the results against the customer record Survey runtime this is where the respondent takes the survey (outside of CRM) and the results are then included back into CRM. Mojo Surveys entities are available in the Marketing, and settings section as viewed in the screenshots below: Mojo Survey entities are stored against the Contact, Account, Lead and Case entity. Survey activities are displayed with other CRM activities as described in the screenshot below
Getting started walkthrough In this walk though, we ll show how to create a new survey, publish the survey, take the survey as a respondent would do, and view the results back in CRM. Many of the features we won t use as these will be covered in detail in later sections, but it will demonstrate the basic process and give you a feel of the possibilities. Please remember virtually all aspects of the survey can be customised, so if there is something you want to change you probably can! In CRM Workplace, select Surveys Fill in the required fields for the survey: Name My First Survey or something similar Header Text My Survey Redirect Link URL your organization s URL Don t worry about the themes or any of the other settings for now; we ll come back to those later. Click Save
Change the form to the designer; form By default each new survey creates three pages: Welcome page this can be thought of as the landing page (can be deleted) Content Page First page to put survey content Survey Complete page this is where the respondent is taken at the end of the survey The survey designer is similar to the CRM form designer used to customize CRM pages. New pages, sections, and questions can be dragged from the right onto the survey page. For this walkthrough we ll add a simple text question to Page 1. Select Page 1 from the Page Explorer window on the right and drag a Text Question onto the page under the existing question (the background of the drop target will change to green when it is good to drop the question)
When the question window pops up, enter the question text, in this example this is First Name, and click Save & Close You will now see the question on the survey page as shown below
Now click on the Publish button of the command bar It may take a few seconds to publish the survey to the Fusion Software Mojo Survey servers, but once successful you can now click on the Preview button next to the Publish button. You should see a preview of the survey such as the one below:
In the preview mode, any data that is submitted is not saved. If we wanted to take the survey as an anonymous respondent we could simply remove the Preview from the end of the URL in the address bar and click return. In this walkthrough though, we ll send out an invitation to a known respondent via a simple email there are many other ways to do this and we recommend you browse the Survey Distribution section of the User Guide document. Options include using email templates, marketing campaigns, quick campaigns, creating an invitation directly (without email) and using workflow. Switch back to the Survey Form by choosing the Designer form in the command bar Choose Invitations from the left hand navigation pane Enter some Invitation text for the survey hyper link (optional) Then copy the Mojo Snippet in the field Email Invitation Snippet.
Next create a new email and paste the Mojo Snippet anywhere into the body of the email Choose Save and you will see that the Snippet has been replaced with link.
Copy that link into a browser s address bar Click Next on the survey. Enter some data into the First Name question. Click Submit and you will see the survey complete screen.
The survey data is stored temporarily on a queue on the Fusion Software servers until it is safely sent to your organization s CRM system. The delay between completing the survey and the results being received in CRM can be anything between a few seconds to an hour, depending on licensing and installation type.
Back in CRM, open up the Survey Responses entity in the Workplace Open up the survey response
And you can see the question response the respondent has entered. The survey response is available on the customer record
And the original Survey Activity is now closed This was a simple walkthrough for demonstrating how easy it is to create a survey and receive the results in CRM.
