Executive MBA With a strong focus on business development, career growth, leadership and people development within the Nigerian context... it made all the sense, to source for a business degree that could focus on the local environment as well as draw a correlation to the international landscape. As my career progressed, there was a clear need to increase my focus and competence in the area of general management, with a bias for human relations (leadership and people development), strategy, economics & finance, and socio-political business environment in Nigeria, as well as some aspects of law around Nigerian businesses. The one programme, which could provide me a good foundation along these lines, is undoubtedly the Lagos Business School's Executive MBA programme - and I pursued this with vigour! The Lagos Business School's Executive MBA programme provided an adequate base for a career move. During the course of the programme, I moved from a core technical function, to human relations and general management - by moving fully into core Human Resources... Tade Oyinlola EMBA 12 Director, Learning & Competence Development (Sub Sahara Africa) Ericsson Nigeria Limited...The MBA experience is invaluable. My thought process was significantly reordered and my capacity to lead, manage and take good quality decisions has been awesome. I have become a change agent in my organization and have earned some commendations. I have learned how to take good quality decisions based on extensive analysis of the various issues, challenges, pros and cons, socio-political and environmental character, as well as the foreseeable impact of such decisions on the business, people and environment. The MBA programme provided a unique opportunity for me to network and develop confidence in developing and sharing business ideas, and challenging subsisting processes with a view to improving results and values. In a unique manner, I learned how ethical practices and good corporate governance are excellent tools for sustainable business.
