Foundation Degree of PROSPECTUS Our Vision The Gospel has not changed but the world in which we live has... and especially over the past 30 years. As a result, the way in which we communicate this good news needs to change and adapt. The Light Project exists to communicate and demonstrate that good news in ways that make sense to people today in the 21st century. We do this by pioneering new mission and evangelism projects and by training people both nationally and locally.

How Does it Work? All sessions are delivered by University approved tutors, passionate about their faith and their specialised subject. Full-time students are based in Chester and join the weekly life of The Light Project community taking part in worship, projects, training sessions, fi eld trips, church placements and outreach activities. Part-time students, from across the UK, join the academic lectures over several weekends throughout the year, enabling them to stay in their home town and access the course from a distance. The course is delivered through weekly online learning tasks and home study, a placement and Learning Weekends. Lectures are delivered in Chester with access to the University of Chester campus. All coursework is assessed through written work, presentations and refl ection on placement experience which counts towards the grade. A very special place where God is at work. Jess, 2nd year Students at The Light Project are also students at The University of Chester, a vibrant place with great learning facilities and an excellent range of clubs and societies including a thriving Christian Union. As a part-time distance learner, the course provides me with the perfect combination of weekly online learning sessions punctuated with learning weekends. The weekends are an amazing time for prayer, worship, lectures and opportunities to practice what we are learning; but as important is the chance to spend time with my colleagues and to hear how God is working in their lives.
