6 Vital Questions To Ask Before You Buy A For VoIP Phone System

AUTHOR PAGE: David Hill About David David Hill is the founder and owner of Birchills Telecom. He is a passionate advocate for VoIP. Having made his name in construction he became so impressed by the power of hosted VoIP he started the company. That was nearly 4 years ago. He says It s all about keeping it simple. For small business the question to ask about VoIP is no longer if or when, but who with? About Birchills Telecom More businesses than ever choose Birchills to provide their telephone system. Free system including phones - no capital cost Simplest VOIP - with all the killer business features including recording No long term contracts Keep your landline numbers and DDI's or choose new Real time call cost control - watch calls as they happen Low call costs, billed per second, no call set up charge Free 30 day trial

Question 1 For VoIP? is a technology developed for cordless handsets. stands for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications. VoIP stands for voice over internet protocol. It is the way modern internet based telephone systems work. When you put them together you have a cordless phone system with all of the power of cloud based PBX. uses it s own spectrum has interference immunity works across many manufacturers What s Great About? Proven technology 150m or so handsets in use No crackle or fades It s cheap It s free to use no subscriptions Phones last a long time after charging Doesn t compete with all of the other radio traffic such as Wifi Huge number of manufacturers support it It supports active handover from cell to cell What s Great About Hosted VoIP? You get all of the power of a sophisticated PBX free. It allows you to use IVR (auto attendants) and call queues so your customers never get an engaged tone. You can set sophisticated call rules and you can record calls on demand. You can add any telephone numbers from anywhere in the world. So you can be in Birmingham and look as if you are in London or Rio even. Call costs are amazingly low and reliability is high. Put And VoIP Together? Bringing the technologies together means you get business quality cordless VoIP with great, fade free, quality and all the power that only big business used to be able to afford.

QUESTION 2: How Do You Configure It? Birchills Hosted VoIP PBX in the Cloud Handsets Base Station Ethernet Base Station Handsets VoIP Broadband Local Area Network LAN Public Telephone Network PSTN Putting the power of VoIP and together used to be a very costly undertaking. Not any more. With one low priced subscription you can make it work for you. One phone call and we ll send you as many base stations and handsets as you want. They will arrive preconfigured with your requirements. Then you simply plug the base stations into your router or LAN and then connect the mains to the chargers and the base station. Wait a while whilst the batteries charge and you are good to go. Your new phone system is up and running with no internal data wiring to the handsets.

QUESTION 3: What Do You Need? PBX in the Cloud and Phone Numbers Router Base Station Handsets You need A hosted VoIP phone company to supply the VoIP phone services using a hosted PBX Phone numbers either port ones you already have or choose new ones An internet connection A router or modem to connect into the internet A base station you don t need internal data wiring to the phones handsets

QUESTION 4: Who Are You Dealing With? Many sellers are sales organisations reselling products and services. Once a sale is made you will never see the rep again. You must be sure that your seller is capable of properly supporting your business once the sale is made. Make sure: They are a well established business That they are not just a web site or a reseller They are experts on business phone systems Their sales people are not commission driven That you can try before you buy That you understand their support does it cost extra

QUESTION 5: What If Your Needs Change? You need to choose a system that will allow you to add new features and expand or reduce your system at minimal additional cost. Are you going to be tied in for a long time? There are suppliers who will not tie you in at all. When designing your system we have seen many guides which ask you to predict how many new employees you will start over the next 5 years. It seems unreasonable to ask you to buy a system based on 5 years, far better to buy what you need now and then alter it when you need to but at a reasonable cost.

QUESTION 6: How Much Will It Cost? There are a lot of ways to hide charges that you didn t expect so you need to cover all the bases and that involves a lot of direct questions. You need to know the capital costs, the recurring costs and the set up costs of every item that you plan to use. You can expect to pay up to a few hundred pounds for the hardware or less plus connection charges to the network and call charges. You should expect to pay a lot less than for an old fashioned PBX system in capital cost, set up cost, recurring cost and call charges. Make sure there are no call set up charges or rounding charges. And finally there is no need to sign a long term contract.

CHOOSE WELL Thanks For Downloading! Your communication system is your gateway to the world. Choosing wisely will save you many hours of grief later. Choosing wisely will enhance and improve your companies reputation for ever. Thanks for your time. Birchills Telecom Ltd, 200 Rookery Lane, Aldridge, Walsall WS9 8NP Tel 01922 21 33 33
