The CoB provides well-rounded, high quality educational experiences to prepare graduates for a variety of careers in the global business environment. Student Learning Information: Common SLOs for Masters of Administration Degrees Common Intended Student Learning Outcomes for Masters of Administration Degrees. SLO 1. Students will write business documents with clear focus, development, organization and mechanical correctness. SLO 2. Students will identify problem(s)/issue(s) of a business scenario, present and evaluate plausible alternatives, and defend the chosen solution based on ethical principles, discipline-specific understanding, and reasoned judgement. SLO 3. Students will demonstrate competencey in business and management concepts. Proposed Courses of Action for Improvement in Areas for Performance Targets: 1. MBA Healthcare Beginning in Academic year 2015-16, we will begin redeveloping the specialization courses in the healthcare management program. We will also review the feasibility of utilizing portions of the CPC Healthcare examination as an instrument. 2. MBA Finance and MBA Accounting and Finance- The core course in Financial Management was redeveloped for the online programs and launched in Spring 2015. We will also reassess the target goal, which is currently 10 points higher than the national average. 3. MBA Project Management- Course instructors in project management will emphasize topics of weakness through discussion board questions and discussion. Almost 80% of the students scored 75% or higher. This program is accredited by the Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Center (PMI-GAC), and we are currently reviewing the target to closer align with with the standard for the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam. 3

Note: Our target goal is almost ten points above the US national average. CPC Marketing score 50% or higher MBA- Accounting and Finance Eighty one percent of the students met the target score for accounting; however, only fifty percent of the students met the target for business finance. Note: Our target goal for finance is almost ten points above the US national average. The CoB has added two critical thinking courses to develop critical thinking skills early in the pedagogy for all CoB undergraduate students. The two course sequence was launched in Fall 2014. In addition the CoB curriculum committee has been tasked with identifying additional mechanisms to infuse critical thinking into sophomore and junior level courses. 2. BS The CoB has redeveloped courses in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management that began in the Fall 2014 semester. 8

Summary of Results from Direct Measures of Student Learning: SLO 1. 100% of the students met or exceeded the target. MET NOT MET SLO 2. Over 80% of the students met or exceeded two of the targets including speaking clearly and comprehension. 65% of the students met or exceeded the other two targets (content and preparedness). SLO 3 and SLO 4 Overall, the students did not achieve the 70% goal associated for all SLO3 and SLO 4 traits. The faculty-developed rubric combined the scores for all five traits in assessing whether the target was achieved. As such, students may have had an acceptable score in some of the traits; but overall, they did not achieve the target. The traits included: identify relevant problems/questions, identify relevant facts, recognize relationships and nuances, analyze and evaluate alternatives, recommend an implementable solution. SLO 5. The target was met; ninety three percent of our students scored above the target. Summary of Results from Indirect Measures of Student Learning: 1. Recent Graduate Survey Targets were met. 2. Course evaluation targets were met. Proposed Courses of Action for Improvement in Areas for Performance Targets: 1. The syllabus for EMG 4006 ( Plan Research) will be modified to include more oral communication exercises prior to the final assessment. 2. Critical thinking videos and modules on writing a case study analysis will be developed and integrated into the curriculum. 3. BA Administration in Marketing- BUS 4601 (Marketing Analysis and Strategy) was redeveloped and launched in Spring 2015. The Academic Chair of Marketing Programs will also review and revise, as needed, the course syllabi for all marketing courses that comprise this major in Academic Year 2015-16. 12
