1 Program SLOs: The graduates of our program will: Academic Assessment Report - AY Nathan Weiss Graduate College Department of Occupational Therapy SLO #1 Exhibit the roles and responsibilities of an occupational therapist as defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association, consistent with state regulations: adheres to ethics and safety guidelines, effectively articulates the value of occupation, effectively communicates in both oral and written format, understands costs and funding (KU SOL 1 & 4). SLO#2 Utilize clinical reasoning skills to develop client centered assessment, goals, and intervention that facilitate participation in meaningful occupation across populations, settings and practice areas. (KU SOL 1 & 4). SLO #3 Demonstrate professionalism throughout all phases of academic career and into entry-level practice (KU SOL 3 & 4). SLO #4 Understand the importance of research and other resources to ensure efficacy and/or best practice within the delivery of occupational therapy (KU SOL 2 & 4). SLO #5 Collaborate with community partners and interdisciplinary colleagues to meet society s occupational needs (KU SOL 1, 2, 3, & 4). SLO #6 Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to lifelong learning and the promotion and advancement of the profession (KU SOL 2 & 4).
