Page 2 of 5 On the AccessPoint Login page (Figure 3), if you have previously registered on the site, enter your User ID and your Password in the boxes underneath the Enter Your Login Information heading on the left. If you have lost or forgotten your password, click on Retrieve Temporary Password. On the following screen, type in your User ID and last name. Once that information has been verified, you will receive a temporary password and instructions on how to create a new personal password. If you have not yet registered, click on Register for AccessPoint. Note: In order to register, you will need to have your valid Tax ID Number on hand. Once that is entered, the system will check to see if an account already exists for that Tax ID. If an account does not exist, the requestor must confirm that he/she can make a legally-binding agreement for their provider or organization. Additionally, if you do not have a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI), you will not be able to perform HIPAA standard transactions or access any member information. Should you need to reset your password and encounter difficulty with the Retrieve Temporary Password link, please email your password reset request to AccessPoint directly at accesspoint.pins@wellpoint. com. Upon your successful login, take a few minutes to look around the Provider Home page (Figures 4 and 5) and see what tools are available to you. We continually update the site to bring you the latest information and resources available. Figure 3 Figure 4 Note: The AccessPoint site is a tool for all of our providers.
