About the course The Level One Online Umpire s Course has been designed to assist you in achieving the necessary skills and knowledge to be an effective umpire and enjoy your officiating role. The course contains the following five modules: A good umpire Getting started Umpiring techniques The Rules in Action Where to now? Successful completion of the course provides you with one of the required pre-requisites for a National C Badge. What are the benefits of moving to an online course? The ability to learn in a self-paced environment at a time and place that suits you. Access all year round, any time of the day or night! How much will the course cost? The Level One Online Umpire s Course will cost you $25 to complete, regardless of your location around Australia. All payments will be managed online through a secure gateway. What happens if I don t have a credit card to be able to pay online? If you do not have access to a credit card to be able to pay online, email Netball Australia on: learning@netball.asn.au How do I enrol in the course? You can access and enrol in the course through the MyNetball portal: http://mynetball.com.au and by following the instructions at the back of this fact sheet. Is there a time limit on completing the course? No. There is no time limit on completing the course. You are able to learn in a self-paced environment and can log in and log out as required. Will I be able to access the course materials after they have completed the course? Yes. Upon successful completion of all modules, you will be able to log back into the system and access the materials at any stage. Will I receive a certificate? Yes. Upon successful completion of all modules, you will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate can be printed or emailed as required.
Is the course different to the current Level One Umpire s Course? No. The online course has been developed based on the current, highly successful Level One Umpire s Course. It is an engaging and interactive online course with video s, learning activities and assessments at the end of each module. It will take between 2 4 hours to complete based on your current knowledge and skills. What happens if I have further questions? Your first point of call should always be your State/Territory Netball Association. If they are unable to assist, they will make contact with Netball Australia for additional support.
How do I enrol in the course? You can access and enrol in the course through the MyNetball portal and by following the following steps: Screen Shot Steps At the login panel, login if you have a MyNetball account, retrieve your password, or click Get Started under the Your Netball heading to create a new login. Note: If you need to create a new login, after having clicked the Get Started button, look for the words: If you are unable to find your ID in the process above, please Register Now (it s free!)
Once logged in select the Online Learning tab. Select the green Enrol button next to the Level One Umpires Course.
1. Registration Type Select the Level One Umpires Course. Click the blue Next button.
2. Personal Details Confirm your personal details and complete all mandatory fields. Click the blue Next button.
3. Review Confirm all details and tick the Disclaimer box. Click the blue Next button.
4. Payment Provide payment details. Click Select and make Payment
5. Confirmation Click Return Home.
Select the Online Learning tab
A blue Info button should now be appearing next to the Level One Umpires Course. Click the blue Info button which will take you to the Level One Umpires Course homepage. Note: If it takes you back to the MyNetball homepage click back and try again by clicking the Info button once more. Please just be patient as it takes the system some time to connect!
You are now at the home page for the Level One Umpires Course. Click the red Launch button.
