Classroom instruction is 20-25 hours per week with experienced ESL instructors. Our curriculum includes all of the English-language skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary development. An activity is scheduled each Friday during the semester with a minimal additional charge to students. ELI participants can be assigned conversation partners. Extra tutorial sessions also are available free of charge upon request. Every benefit given to regular university students is available to ELI students, including all student activities, housing options, library access, computer laboratories, and recreational facilities. English Tutorial Service Tutorial assistance is provided for international students who wish to improve their English. Tutors provide individual or group assistance with academic paper writing, vocabulary, reading, and discussion, pronunciation, or other assignments. This service is located in the CIP Complex. ADMISSION PROCESS LIVING ON CAMPUS All Applicants All students are encouraged to apply for admission as far in advance as possible as it may take several weeks to obtain an F-1 student visa. Required Documents 1. International Application Form 2. Application Fee ($30 for undergraduate and ESL students; $35 for graduate students) 3. Certified Financial Statement (letter of financial support from sponsor and verifying bank statement) 4. Official TOEFL or IELTS score 5. Official Transcript (high school, all college/universities attended. Please include high school diploma verifying graduation date). Transcript must be both in the native language and ENGLISH and either must be original documents or copies CERTIFIED by school after photocopying. Transfer Students Transfer students currently studying in the United States must submit college items from 1-5 from the required documents (above) and the form listed below: 6. Each room is furnished with two extra long beds, two desks and chairs, and two dressers. Every dormitory has a common area which provides a gathering place and a television. Computer labs, kitchen facilities, and laundry facilities are connected to the common areas. Wired or wireless internet is provided. Security checks are required when accessing the halls. Crestone, Culebra, and Greenhorn Halls Crestone, Culebra, and Greenhorn halls are in the village featuring suite-styles rooms, meeting and lounge areas, ample parking, and great views. The standard room is the double room (suite) which shares a bathroom with another double room. Lounges are located at the end of each floor and offer stunning views of the surrounding area. Belmont Residence Hall (BRH) BRH houses more than 500 students in three wings which are joined by a large commons area and a recreation lobby (including a court for volleyball and basketball). University Village at Walking Stick Walking Stick offers a unique housing opportunity for those students who are exempt from the on-campus, live-in requirement. Located west of BRH, these four-bedroom townhouses allow students to experience private apartment living in the heart of campus life. Each unit features two private bedrooms and a semi-private bathroom on each floor, a main level living area, kitchen, and dining room, as well as a second-floor study loft. The apartments include campus high speed internet access in each bedroom, a common area house phone, and premium cable TV in each bedroom and the commons area. *All single freshmen under the age of 21 are required to live on campus for the first academic year of study. All residents living in BRH, Crestone, Culebra, and Greenhorn halls are required to purchase meal plans for dining in the nearby Occhiato University Center.

The program is fully accredited by AACSB International the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB is the premier accrediting body for business programs and less than 15 percent of the world s business schools have achieved AACSB international accreditation. The program requires 36 credits of approved course work. A 3+2 program also is available which allows for completion of bachelor s and master s degrees within a five-year period. Graduate Program in Natural Sciences (MS) The College of Science and Mathematics offers Master of Science degrees in three disciplines within the Natural Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry. The programs require 32 credit hours of approved graduate course work. A 3+2 plan is available for these three programs in natural science which allows for the completion of both bachelor s and master s degrees within five-year period. Master of Education (MEd) The MEd at CSU-Pueblo has been designed to impact the quality of teaching and learning in K-12 classrooms by preparing master teachers with expertise in their content disciplines, in the pedagogy of teaching and learning, and in the process of continual professional development and growth. The program requires 38 credits for completion. Master of Industrial and Systems Engineering (MSISE) The MSISE program at CSU-Pueblo provides students with practical knowledge in areas such as facilities planning, operations planning and control, economic analysis, design of experiments, and project management. Methodologies employed by systems engineers include mathematical programming probability and statistics, computer simulation, and human performance study. Graduates from CSU-Pueblo have gone on to employment in manufacturing and services industries, health care, governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations. The program consists of 33 credits minimum. A 3+2 program also is available, which allows for the completion of bachelor s and master s degrees within a five-year period. Master of Science in Engineering ( MSE) The Department of Engineering at Colorado State University-Pueblo offers the Master of Science in Engineering with emphasis areas in mechatronics and railroad engineering. Mechatronics combines mechanical and electrical engineering with computers to create devices that make our lives better. Electrical and mechanical systems, controlled by computers, are at the core of wide range of processes and products. The emphasis area in railroad engineering is strengthened by staff and laboratories at the Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI), a world-class engineering facility located in Pueblo. A subsidiary of the Association of American Railroads of America, TTCI is a leading transportation research and testing organization, providing emerging technology solutions for the railway industry throughout North America and the world.
