PHOCUS Rx Phocus Rx is a comprehensive system designed as a combination of hardware and software tools with one main goal: to provide pharmacists and pharmacy technicians a safe, reliable and easy to use environment to document and validate the compounding process of prescription IV drugs. The only non-invasive camera system designed for use in compounding areas with any type of hood or open compounding environment. Phocus Rx helps ensure that medications are prepared correctly and labels are accurate. As a result, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians workflow and interaction is more efficient, saving time and providing an easy way of documentation for quality purposes. PHOCUS Rx

Main Features Non invasive system. Keeps compounding environment clean with no wires or devices within the hood. Compounding space is not altered. Phocus Rx uses a powerful 5 megapixel imaging system that closely focuses in on the names, numbers, labels, color and other details of drugs and syringes. Storage and retrieval image system: allows documentation of the compounding process for quality purposes Image recognition and barcode scanning features Pharmacists access the system from different platforms: PC, Laptop, Tablet PC, ipad, Android,... System Overview Phocus Rx Client configuration: installed inside the Clean Room, making it possible for technicians to easily record images and send them to the server. An articulated arm attached either to the ceiling or wall supports the medical grade touch screen computer and gives pathway for power and network connections. Two ultra-compact cameras per hood/ workstation are located in the Clean Room ceiling. Phocus Rx Server configuration: installed at the IT Department (other options also available) making it possible for pharmacists to easily access the system from any computer or mobile device connected to the Hospital network. Then pharmacists are able to review images with great detail, validate and store them and also communicate with the technician in the compounding area. The Clean Room PHOCUS Rx

Software vision Description of operations Technicians will be able to easily identify orders, record images associatted with different steps in the compounding process and transfer them immediately through the network and receive pharmacist feedback. Pharmacists can review the full-detail high resolution images with zoom-in capabilities and either validate or send a warning message. Once compounding orders are completely validated, they are transferred to historic database for further consultation.
