Company Profile TripleNine Fish Protein a.m.b.a., is a co-operative owned by the suppliers and has been involved in the business since 1948. TripleNine has been established through a merger of the fish meal factories in Esbjerg, Hvide Sande and Thyborøn. TripleNine Fish Protein is one of the world's leading producers of fishmeal and fish oil. Production takes place in one of Denmark s major fishing ports Thyborøn on the west coast of Denmark. TripleNine Fish Protein is known around the world for high quality, prompt delivery, serious and trustworthy relations with our customers. We pay close attention to the needs of our customers and co-operate to solve the tasks of tomorrow to the benefit of both parties.

Fishing & Species TripleNine only uses raw materials from sustainable fishing according to FAO and ICES. For more than 60 years we at TripleNine Fish Protein have caught different species of fish for the production of fish meal and fish oil. Our primary catches are sandeel, sprat and Norway Pout, species not utilised for direct human consumption. Sand eel Latin: Hyperoplus lanceolatus Family Name: Ammodytidae DK: Tobis D: Sandaal/Sandspierling Sand eel is the most important species of fish for F: Lançon TripleNine. It counts up to approximately 60% of the company s annual catches of raw material.

Sprat Latin: Sprattus sprattus Family Name: Clupeidae DK: Brisling D: Sportte/Breitling Sprat is one of the primary species of fish for F: Sprat TripleNine.It counts approximately 20% of the company s annual catches of raw material. Norway pout Latin: Trisopterus esmarki Family Name: Gadidae DK: Sperling D: Stintdorsch Norway pout is one of the primary species of F: Tacaud norvégien fish for TripleNine. It counts approximately 20% of the company s annual catches of raw material.

TripleNine is a co-operative company owned by the suppliers of raw material. Therefore fishermen and TripleNine have a common interest in managing the fishing in a way that secures plenty of fish for future generations. In other words, the fishing should be sustainable. Fishing is regulated by internationally accepted quotas and controlled by national authorities. This secures the reproductiveness and the balance between the species.

Quality Assurance we can meet the demands of our customers regarding: - time of delivery - Quantities - Qualities - Traceability Feed for Food As a supplier to the feed industry, TripleNine Fish Protein is conscious about its role in the food chain, and the quality of the products must reflect this. This is fulfilled by observing the food safety policies and the rules of GMP B1 and HACCP. TripleNine Fish Protein is also certified according to ISO 9001:2000.

Environmental Policy The basis of TripleNine s environmental policy is to reduce the effect of the factory on its surroundings as far as technologically and economically possible. Energy Policy TripleNine's aim is to be the most energy efficient fishmeal and oil factory, taking into consideration both the quality of the product and the demands made to the internal and external environment, as far as it is technologically and economically possible. Intermediate Aim: To be regarded as an energy efficient and environmentally concerned company. To constantly reduce the company's energy consumption. To actively revise energy consumption. To motivate all employees to be aware of energy consumption.

Low Dioxin Guarantee Regards to food safety, TripleNine Fish Protein guarantees all its fishmeal and fish oil with low level of dioxin, lower than the EU limit. At TripleNine Fish Protein all fish oil must be purified for dioxin with the aid of extraction process. Fishmeal is also analysed for dioxin and will be purified if it s necessary. With the aid of the extraction process, TripleNine Fish Protein is able to deliver fishmeal with low dioxin guarantee, a higher protein content up to 76% and the oil content the customer desires.
