Traceability and Food Safety YOUR ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE: TRANSPARENT PRODUCTS ARE THE KEY TO SUCCESS Transparency of operational flows of goods and internal logistics Adherence to duty of care Legal security and limitation of risks Competent handling of critical situations Compliance with industry standards Limitation of damage Upstream and downstream transparency Establishment of consumer confidence The objective of traceability is to provide safe products for consumers and to protect companies in a sustainable manner by implementing suitable production processes. It is the duty of the food industry to ensure traceability, so its core task is to know the flow of goods pertaining to the products. For you, this means that you must be capable, at any time, to determine and consistently prove when, where and by whom your goods were taken over, processed, stored, transported, used, or disposed of. This requirement is fully met by the traceability module integrated in the CSB-System - from raw materials procurement via all processing stages and quality management up to labeling of your products. It also encompasses the entire delivery logistics to your customers and partners as proof for the whereabouts of your products. The CSB-System transparently portrays all upstream and downstream traceability processes, taking into account the most important national and international laws. Qualified integration of quality management in the traceability processes allows for immediate documentation to secure food safety according to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and self-inspection. Compliance with laws, directives and standards YOUR ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE: Implementation of the most important laws, directives and standards Internationally compliant labeling of your products Long-term and lasting food safety for consumers Integration of religious laws, for example halal and kosher SUCCESSFULLY UTILIZE FRAMEWORK CONDITIONS The CSB-System ensures compliance with principal laws, directives, and standards, taking into account national specificities as well as internationally compliant labeling of your products. The clearly defined objective of transparently documenting the production of safe food for your consumers is implemented in the CSB-System by adhering to: EU guidelines for meticulous process documentation in the scope of operational self-inspection Requirements of the HACCP concept Specifications of the EU hygiene package Directives for packaging and temperature controls Designation and tracing of genetically modified products Guidelines pertaining to food ingredients (identification of allergens) EU Food information Global Food Safety Initiative FOOD HYGIENE/ FOOD INFORMATION Subcontractor Producer Retail Sector Food hygiene - Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 Registration of all establishments Traceability Main responsibility for food business operators Documents, especially HACCP, must be kept up to date Specific hygiene rules for food of animal origin - Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 Approval of the business Control of hygiene rules as well as own checks based on HACCP principles Food chain information Food Information Regulation (EC) No 1169/2011 Declaration of all required information, such as ingredients, allergens, origin labeling, company address, nutrition declaration Valid from December 13, 2014 Implementation Regulation (EC) No 1337/2013 Identification of the country or place of origin of fresh, refrigerated or chilled meat of - swine - sheep and goat - poultry

Safety and transparency with one integrated overall system YOUR ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE: Safety and transparency with one integrated overall system Direct access to all required data and products in the case of incidents Definable delivery blocks INDIVIDUAL TRACEABILITY ORGANIZATION Implementation of traceability first requires an analysis of all your business areas that are to be included. This status quo analysis and the level of detail of the lot number concept determine the number of data entry points and critical control points (CCPs) along the material and information flows as well as the structure of the data to be processed. In this way, CSB-System AG creates a customized concept for the implementation of a traceability system for your business. ON-SITE IMPLEMENTATION For a consistent implementation of the traceability requirements, logistical units such as containers, pallets, crates and items must be clearly labeled and linked with batch or lot numbers. In the CSB-System, scales and other measuring devices are connected with labeling and control systems to achieve exact identification. By using RFID or barcode readers, all details can be passed on, checked and amended throughout the entire process. The CSB-System visualizes the flow of information from start to end. Details about the identified units are booked in the internal divisions of goods receiving, inventory, production and sales. Goods receiving Processing and exact allocation of day lots, n lots, supplier lots or item lots in a single work step together with receiving entries Input of external lot numbers with readers (barcode, RFID) or manually of internal lot numbers, either automatically, manually or by importing the external lot number of vendor batches with allocation to delivered products Barcoding of lot/batch numbers Printing of labels with required details Import, comparison and automatic processing of data for subsequent identification at the i-points along the flow of goods

Inventory Posting of vendor batches with associated lot numbers Full product traceability for interim storage in raw materials or auxiliary materials warehouses by means of references to the lot or batch numbers allocated in goods receiving Direct reference to origin and quality data Update of all identification data to ensure traceability during internal inventory movements by means of barcode labels and scanning (RFID, barcode) Automatic control of all inventory entry and exit processes including associated traceability data Qualified product management for inventories with date of minimum durability, import or production as target value Integration of the entire process periphery via comprehensive CIM concept Production Provision of item identification data for traceability in batch processing Documentation of lot/batch numbers when calling components for batch production Transparent traceability of the flow of goods based on bills of materials and recipes Allocation of new lot numbers to products as well as creation of links and barcodes for processed components Capture at the production exit control point by scanning of the barcode or using RFID readers Posting of the items produced, including all identification data required for traceability, to finished goods inventory

Safety and transparency with one integrated overall system YOUR ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE: Systematic and quick collection from customers Clear internal and external communication Full clarification of questions on origin and liability Batch Information system (BIS) Availability of all identification data required for traceability Comprehensive analysis of the origin of your products through overview of the lot numbers of all individual components used in the recipes Identification of the vendors of all processed raw and auxiliary materials via the lot number of your finished products Sales Automated allocation of the items to be delivered to the customers and retrieval of associated lot numbers in shipping Processing of lot numbers by scanning the barcodes of the delivery items or by manual entry Guaranteed reference of items to customers in shipping based on comprehensive identification procedure Identification & labeling Automatic transfer of lot numbers to labelling systems and printing on labels Allocation to customers in dispatch by scanning of the barcodes or RFID tags including all identification data of your products (lot/batch number) TASKS VALUE CHAIN Identification Requirement Organization Integration of process data Basis for implementing statutory regulations for traceability Organization of data Purpose/Objective FARMING GS1-GLN Goods receiving Read Business organization with cost center, production or Direct allocation of data t Provision of data for data Implementation of interna Compliance with legal req G Specifics Important for GS1-EPC: W
