REQUISITE QUALIFICATION: 1 Assistant Engineer (Elec.) Should possess/ acquire BE of a recognized University/ Institute or AMIE (India) qualification in a) Electrical b) Computer Science c) Information Science d) Information Technology e) Electronics & telecommunications f) Electronics & Communication Engineering. Should have a degree in civil Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent qualification or pass in AMIE section A&B (civil) Should be a M.Com Graduate of a recognized University or pass in ICWA/MBA(Finance) Should have a Diploma in Electrical/Computer/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering of a Polytechnic of the State of Karnataka or Equivalent qualification. 2 Assistant Engineer (Civil) 3 Assistant Accounts Officer 4 Junior Engineer (Elec.)/Store Keeper Gr-2 5 Junior Engineer (Civil) Should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering of a Polytechnic of the State of Karnataka or Equivalent qualification. Note: i. s possessing qualification in disciplines/ branches other than what is specified above need not apply. ii. The percentage of marks obtained in all the years if the Exams are held on annual basis, if the same is on semester basis, the percentage of marks obtained in all the semesters will be considered. iii. s who have appeared for the qualifying examination but whose results are not declared before the last date fixed for receiving applications, need not apply. iv. Should have basic functional knowledge of computers. v. Should have knowledge of Kannada in reading and writing.

ELIGIBILITY: a) Should be a local person of Hyderabad Karnataka region as specified in the Government notification No: DPAR/06/PLX2012 Dated: 06.11.2013 & Subsequent Amendments from time to time. b) Should submit local person certificate issued by the competent authority. c) s who have obtained minimum percentage of marks as prescribed below in respective qualifying examinations only are eligible to apply for the above posts. Category Percentage. (a) For applicants belonging to General Merit Category 60% (b) For applicants belonging to Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB 50% (c) For applicants belonging to SC/ST Pass Class 4. SELECTION: Recruitment to these posts shall be made purely on the basis of the marks secured in the Aptitude Test, duly following reservation policy of Government of Karnataka. 5. AGE: The s should have attained the age of 18 Years as on the last date fixed for receipt of application and shall not be more than; i. 35 Years in case of General Merit s. ii.38 Years in case of Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB s. iii. 40 Years in case of SC/ST and Category I s. Note: a) For Ex-military Personnel (Ex-MP), the above age limit is relaxable by 3 Years plus the number of years of service rendered by them in the Armed Forces of the Union of India not exceeding 45 years of age on the last date prescribed for receiving the application. b) In respect of in service employees, the upper age limit is relaxable by the number of years of continuous service rendered by them, subject to a maximum of 7 years. b) The s who worked or working on contract basis in KPTCL / ESCOMs, the upper age limit is relaxable by no. of years of service rendered by them subject to a maximum of 05 years. 6. APPLICATION FEE: The application fees prescribed for applying to the said posts is as follows: i. Rs.4000/- (Rupees Four Thousand Only) in respect of s belonging to General Category and Category I, IIA,IIB, IIIA, IIIB. ii. Rs2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) in respect of s belonging to SC/ST Category.

6 7. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION: i. Applications should be submitted strictly 'ONLINE' by logging on to BESCOM website www.bescom.org. Applications will not be accepted by any other mode. ii. The s should fill up the e-mail ID and mobile number in the application since, future correspondence with them will be over e-mail (or SMS if necessary). iii. The website will be kept open for submitting online applications from 01/10/2014 to 30/10/2014. The last date for submission of application is 30/10/2014 till 4pm. iv. s are allowed to apply only once and application once submitted cannot be altered under any circumstances. v. Payment should be made by DD only. DD should be drawn in favour of General Manager (A&HR), BESCOM payable at Bangalore. vi. Fees paid once shall not be refunded under any circumstances or adjusted towards future recruitments. vii. After submitting the application ONLINE the s should obtain the print-outs of acknowledgment and scanned copy of Demand Draft and produce as when called by the BESCOM. viii. s should submit the application well in advance without waiting for the last date prescribed for submission. 8. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: i. Should be a local person of Hyderabad Karnataka region as per the Government notification No: DPAR/06/PLX2012 Dated: 06.11.2013 & Subsequent Amendments from time to time. ii. iii. iv No person who has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude or who has been temporarily debarred or disqualified by the Union or any State Public Service Commission from appearing for Examination or Selections conducted by it shall ordinarily be appointed unless the company after review of all the circumstances considers him/her suitable for such appointment. s who obtain appointment by furnishing false information in the application are liable to be terminated. Postal address furnished in the application is final and no correspondence for change of address at a later date will be entertained. v Before filling up the online application forms, the eligible s shall go through instructions made available in the website. vi s are expected to know the criteria for claiming reservation under SC, ST, categories I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB as well as norms for horizontal reservation under each quota prevailing in Government of Karnataka as on the last date prescribed for submission of application. vii viii The decision of BESCOM in matters relating to eligibility of the s will be final and binding. Canvassing in any form for appointment will be a disqualification.

The Rural Study Certificate should be produced in the format prescribed in GO No.DP AR 96 SRR 2005 dated 10.8.2005, duly attested by the Head Master of the School and countersigned by the concerned BEO. b. Ex-Military Should possess Discharge Certificate for having served in Armed Military /Defence/ Forces. Personnel c. Should have studied in from 1st to 10th Study Certificate Standard. d. Project Authority The s should possess certificate issued by the concerned Displacement for having lost their Agricultural Land/Residence for projects. Quota e. Physically Handicapped Should possess a medical certificate issued by the competent medical authority to show physical defect or deformity to an extent of minimum 40% which causes in interference with the normal functioning of bones, muscles and joints.
