Problem 1 In Cisco Unity 4.0, after a subscriber is deleted from the Cisco Unity SA, this error message appears in the Cisco Unity Event Log: Event Type: Warning Event Category: Run Event ID: 1008 Date: MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PM Computer: UNITY Received message event 8 on NotifyQ for user cn=(alias),cn=recipients,ou=(site), o=(organization) who is not monitored. No MWI or notifications will occur for this user. To correct, perform a resync of all mailusers with UTIM: go to the Properties tab of your integration and press the Resynchronize button. For more information, click: http://www.ciscounitysupport.com/find.php This MWI error could occur for users that no longer have a mailbox. 1 In order to resolve this issue, perform these steps: 1. Go to the Cisco Unity Server and choose Start > Programs > Unity > Cisco Unity Tools Depot. 2. Choose Switch Integration Tools and double click on Telephone Integration Manager, which opens the Cisco Unity Telephony Integration Manager (UTIM) window.
3. In the left pane of the UTIM window, drill down to Properties. Then, go to the Integration tab in the right pane and click Resynchronize Now. You receive a message that states MWI resynchronization has been started. Click OK and exit the UTIM.
2 If the errors continue even after running the resync from within UTIM, open the services.msc applet from run and restart the AvNotifierMgr service. Problem 2 With Cisco Unity 7.0, the resynchronization of the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) results in this error in the Cisco Unity Event Log: Event Type: Information Event Category: None Event ID: 1063 Date: MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PM Computer: Unity Finished resynching subscriber mailboxes. 0 mailboxes have been resynchronized. RESYNC_REQUEST = eresync_request_hard_for_switch.possible causes are UTIM "Resynchronize Now" button or UTIM scheduled resynchronization. In order to resolve this issue, perform these steps: 1. Open UTIM from the Cisco Unity Tools Depot. 2. Click the Integration tab in the Properties window, and check for the Integration ID which will be the Switch ID. Or, open the GUSI file from Cisco Unity Tools Depot and check Switch ID. 3. Click Start > Program files > Microsoft SQL server > Enterprise Manager. 4. Expand Microsoft SQL Servers > SQL Server Group > Windows NT > Databases > Unity DB > Tables. 5. Choose Subscribers, and right click on open table > return all rows. 6. Find the subscribers affected and replace the Switch ID value with the Integration ID value of UTIM from step 2. Problem 3 An Event Log Warning is reoccurring every 5 minutes and the alias is no longer on the system: Event Type: Warning Event Category: Run Event ID: 1008 Date: 6/28/2011 1:03:01 PM Computer: MIDUNITY Received message event enotifyq_action_msg_new [2] on NotifyQ for user cn=alisson,cn=recipients,ou=mmfcu,o=mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union who is not monitored. No MWI or notifications will occur for this user. To correct, perform a resync of all mailusers with UTIM: go to the Properties tab of your integration and press the Resynchronize button.
