Prime Time Institute is a program for active adult learners. Members enjoy stimulating, intellectual learning through short noncredit courses, discussion groups, social activities, and educational tours. Come hear about the early years of Orson Welles; his controversial stage plays and early radio dramas. Subsequently, on an October 30, 1938 radio broadcast, Orson Welles aired his unforgettable version of H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds and the country feared they were being attacked by alien invasion. Learn what led up to it, the conditions during it, the public panic aftermath, and how new restrictions were put in place.
