NR0002 to Microsoft Office Learn to use Microsoft Word to creating professional and eye-catching documents both for print and online sharing, Microsoft PowerPoint to creating professional and eyecatching presentation for presenting and sharing your ideas and Microsoft Excel to using spreadsheet to manage data in Excel and format worksheet. Students will learn to create worksheet, format cell, column & table, customize ribbon, printing & securing worksheet. NR IC3 Certification Exam Prep Prepare for IC3 (Internet and Computing Core Certification) exam. IC3 is the world s first certification program for digital literacy. It is the most commonly recognized standard of digital literacy today and is accepted for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE) and aligned with the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) for teachers and students from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Students and teachers who achieve IC3 certification possess the validated skills and knowledge required for basic use of computer hardware, software, networks, and the Internet. Microsoft Excel NR Microsoft Excel 2013 Basic Duration: 1 Day Learn to use the basic features of Excel Spreadsheet such as create, edit, format, enter data, and print worksheets to maintain office inventory list, create invoices and record budget information. NR Microsoft Excel 2013 Intermediate Duration: 1 Day Learn to manage and audit reports, use Excel functions to perform calculation, use chart feature to create customized charts, work with pictures and shapes, create customized Tables, working in team and working in secured environment. NR Microsoft Excel 2013 Advanced Duration: 2 Days Learn to more complex features and functions such as HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, PivotTable, PivotChart, slicer, goal setter to analyze data and create dynamic dashboard to present data. Prereq: Excel Intermediate or equivalent. NR Microsoft Excel 2013: Formulas & Functions Duration: 2 Days Learn to use Excel Spreadsheet with formulas and functions such as Sum, Min, Max, Count, Average, Sumif, Averageif, Countif, Right, Left, Mid, Trim, Upper, Lower, Concatenate, Lookup, Vlookup, Hlookup, Transpose, Now, Today, If, And/Or, Nested, Sumifs, Averageifs, Countifs, PivotTable and PivotCharts. Prereq: Excel Intermediate or equivalent. NR Microsoft Excel 2013 Working with Macros Duration: 2 Days Learn to use Microsoft Excel 2013 to record macros, execute macros in variety of different ways, edit macro and to create buttons to activate the macros. This course is intended for Information workers who have an understanding of Microsoft Office Excel Prereq: Excel Advance or equivalent. NR Microsoft Excel 2013: Data Analysis Duration: 2 Days Learn to use advance features and functions of Microsoft Excel 2013 PivotTable, PivotChart and PowerPivot to analyze data. Prereq: Excel Advance or equivalent. 2
3 Database NR to Database Design Learn to plan, design and implement a relational database. Also learn to use the Structured Query Language (SQL) command to access data and optimize databases through normalization. Learn to design and manage databases and understand the Data Definition Language, Data Manipulation Language and Data Definition Language. Database design courses will include understanding various data types, Tables, Views, Store Procedures, Trigger, indexes, data reliability and integrity. Students will learn to design and develop database as part of the project. Prerequisite: Knowledge of computer basic or equivalent. Technology: Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2010. Prereq: Computer Basic or equivalent. Technology: SQL Server 2008 NR to SQL The hands-on course will help student learn to write simple to complex SQL queries. SQL is used to query database to manage data through application, to analysis data, and to generate business reports. Students will learn to use SQL programming language to add, delete, update, edit, use formula and function and sort and search data in database. Students will use SQL language as part the project. Prerequisite: to Database Design. Technology: Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2010. NR5003 to T-SQL Learn to work with the data in SQL Server 2008 to construct queries, do tuning, analyze a query and its performance, modify existing data, perform joins, create indexes and work with XML. NR5004 to PL/SQL Learn to work with the data in Oracle Database to construct queries, analyze a query and its performance, modify existing data, perform joins, create indexes and work with XML. NR3002 Microsoft Access 2013 Learn to work with Microsoft Office Access 2013 to create database, work with tables, and implement relationships, write queries, develop forms and reports, work with macros, automate business processes using VBA code, and secure and share databases. Software Development NR6000 to Java Programming Language Duration: 3Days Learn to develop application using Java Programming Language, one of the most widely used computer languages in the world. Start with the basics of program design and go on to writing programs with integrated input and output, calculations, decision-making, and loops. Build the knowledge and confidence with easy-to-understand examples and plenty of skill-building exercises. NR Java Programming with Swing Learn to develop sophisticated and professional application using Java Programming Language. Learn to save data permanently on a disk by writing it to a sequential data file, read the file to get the data back and process it, organize information using multiple classes in Java's class hierarchy and inheritance, explore some of the hundreds of classes that are built into the Java language, create Swing based applications in Java that includes menus, buttons, text boxes, check boxes, scroll bars, and other GUI tools. Students will learn to use variables, classes, expressions, flow control, loops and more to develop basic application(s)! This is an excellent introductory course for students learning to use C# programming language to develop software, interested in building career in Software development or preparing for Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Certification Exam. Students will learn to develop software using C# programming language as part the project. Prereq: Computer Basic or equivalent.
