Orkanger spoolbase The Group s welding facility/spoolbase in Orkanger is located about 65 km southwest of Trondheim. Its location is ideal to service the Norwegian Sector, in particular for the emerging areas in the Norwegian Sea. The spoolbase is used for the pre-fabrication of rigid steel pipelines for installation by reeling with the Apache, one of the Technip group s advanced pipelay vessels. Since it began operation in 1996, the base has become a leader in providing material/welding expertise, including high competence for 13% chrome and clad pipes. Statoil Frame Contracts DIVING, PIPELINE REPAIR, CONTINGENCY AND MODIFICATION SERVICES Statoil is the world's secondlargest operator of subsea wells in addition of being a technical service provider for Gassco. The latter is the state-owned operator company for Norway's gas transport network, which embraces roughly 10,000 km of submarine pipelines. 6 TECHNIP IN NORWAY Scope Technip Norge will provide a contingency capability for pipeline repair work, planned maintenance, modification and subsea installation using manned or remote operated methods. This will help maintain Statoil's offshore production operations. Statoil will exclusively award diving and diver-assisted operations, either scheduled or contingency related, to Technip Norge. New Diving Vessel (DSV) Technip is currently expanding its fleet with three new diving vessels (DSV). One of these vessels is purpose-built to serve Statoil under the Frame Contracts and to work in Norwegian waters. The "Statoil" DSV is 157 meters long and 27 meters wide, DPIII class and will be equipped with the latest diving technology including a saturation system for 24 divers and a new Hyperbaric Rescue Unit. The Statoil DSV will be available in 2008.

Statoil Frame Contracts PIPELINE REPAIR POOL SERVICES PRS As part of this, Technip Norge will be responsible for maintenance and modification services for the Pipeline Repair System (PRS). The PRS pool comprises a wide range of equipment for pipeline repair, both manned and remote including welding spread with habitat tooling and welding machines, coupling spread with installation frames, H-frames with different sizes and capacities, concrete removal and cutting machine, pipeline repair clamps, isolation plugs (remotely and umbilical operated) and pipeline retrieval tools. An important part of the Frame Contract is the development of new technology. In particular, strong focus is placed on developing state-of-the-art professional diving equipment including new rebreather, helmet and suit. FACIITIES/PLATFORM/STUDIES Facilities In addition to being Norway's leading subsea contractor, Technip Norge also has a concept development team for facilities. Through this team the technologies and experience of the entire Technip group are made available to clients located in Norway. Facilities studies have included: Spar concept study & tests for Arctic conditions Jack-up (TPG 500) concept studies in central North Sea Spar pre-feed studies Platform de-commissioning studies Through a cooperation with other Technip units, Technip Norge offers full EPC services for floaters and jack-ups on the NCS.
