Targeted Population Trade Act Adjustment Assistance eligible workers Dislocated Workers/Unemployed Underemployed Adults and Youth Includes low paid healthcare workers such as CNAs Others (Anybody!) Priority must be given to Veterans 4
Student Support Prescriptions Prior Learning Assessment - $ to CCs to help staff and faculty conduct this work Healthcare Boot Camps - $ to CCs to fund faculty, supplies, etc. to help students prepare for healthcare curricula Digital Literacy Training for Online Students Completion Coaches - 1 or 2 per school Healthcare Career Workshops - $ to CCs to pay for faculty/staff to conduct workshops to help students select (or not) an appropriate healthcare career field Online Learning Resources and Enhanced Instruction Guides Supportive Service funding (gas $, child care, etc.) is NOT an allowable expense 5
Completion Coaches Focused on ensuring students complete their education and go to work Includes institutional wide training with institutional flexibility to accommodate individual school culture and processes Specifically trained to conduct high-touch advisement Development of Academic Plans Ensure use of services such as counseling & career planning Ensure engagement in other Student Support Prescriptions Engage Community College faculty and staff in enhancing services to students Will guide students through 1-on-1 counseling, group advisement, online tools, etc. Will ensure TTC students interested in healthcare training at CCs have access to above services as appropriate 6
Training Prescriptions Focused on Synchronous Delivery (Adobe Connect) Enhanced with Curriculum Specialists and Educational and Instructional Technologists expertise Enhanced with embedded training tools, student engagement components, etc. Tuition will be charged 7
Training Prescriptions Allied Health Science AAS Degree current degree will be enhanced for expanded delivery to recruit TTC health science diploma graduates (RSCC*/Vol/Cleveland/Chat/Columbia/Southwest/Walters) Lead: Dr. Mike Laman Occupational Therapy Assistant Degree - current RSCC* degree will be enhanced for delivery (Collaboration offered through the East TN Allied Health Alliance including RSCC, Chat &Cleveland States) Lead: Teri Gergen Surgery Technology Degree New degree will be offered at multiple CCs (Collaboration with RSCC*/Walters State and offered through the East TN Allied Health Alliance including Cleveland State) Lead: Dr. Mike Laman *lead school 8
