about us The Centre for Executive Education (CEE) is set as a way to realise our mission to become the centre of excellence for human capital development through executive development programmes and services. As an institution of continuing education and professional development, we aim to provide necessary knowledge and technical skills for the emerging entrepreneurs and management personnel to pursue a successful career as a manager in not only well-established corporations but also Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as well. We strive to achieve our goal and improve the overall quality of executives, management performance by focusing on three core areas of today s competitive environment: Innovation, Leadership and Entrepreneurship. CEE programmes have benefited tremendously from our international collaborations with world renowned international partners such as Babson College, Boston, USA in the area of Entrepreneurship, University of Melbourne on Innovation, and Universitat de Valencia, Spain on Global MBA Programme specialising in International Marketing. In aligning with Prime Minister Dato Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak s aspiration calling for Malaysia innovation economy, our centre provides a platform for quality human capital development which spearheads our innovative entrepreneurial and executive management programmes. Our programmes content gives greater emphasis on practical orientations of the current business world consistent with the industry norms and practices. We stress upon integrated learning process linkage theories with industrial practical approaches. Our main objective is to enhance participants critical thinking capability and problem solving skills and therefore achieving the integrative learning advantages.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 1 The Business Development Compass It provides direction for business managers to be more effective in the face of competing projects and business opportunities. The programme focuses on identifying and realistically testing business opportunities and ideas. It allows progressive organisations to effectively and quickly sieve out the best business opportunities thus not only affording the greatest potential for success from the outset, but also avoiding expensive investments, both monetary and time, in uncertain ventures as well. 2 Successful Social Enterprises for Tomorrow To drive social change and transform society. The programme focuses on the cultivation of value in the form of large scale, transformational benefits to a significant segment of society. Social entrepreneurial plans that address or promote social concerns, benefit the community and/or make a profit. 3 Technology Strategy for Managers and Entrepreneurs The programme describes how technology evolves over time and the implication of that evolution for companies. It also explains how companies come up with technological innovations that meet the needs of their customers. In addition, it explains how companies capture the value generated from their investments in technological innovations. Last but not least, it describes the development of a technology strategy and its implementation not only for established and large firms but also for new ventures and small businesses.

FAMILY BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SERIES 1 Transgenerational Entrepreneurship (Module 1 of 5) The programme consists of the following: Developing the next generation as effective managers, shareholders, and family members Managing ownership and leadership transition Preparing the organisation for future changes in management and ownership Taking charge and letting go of leadership responsibilities 2 Organisational Design for Family Business (Module 2 of 5) The programme consists of the following: Integrating the strengths of families and businesses Preparing for predictable stages of the family business system Developing constructive family work relationships and shareholder relationships Managing conflict in business families Communicating effectively with family members 3 The Governance of Family Business (Module 3 of 5) The programme consists of the following: Developing effective boards of directors and advisory boards Organising family assembly and family council meetings Creating policies and plans for the family s involvement with the business Developing leaders in the family-business-ownership system

4 Stewardship in Family Business (Module 4 of 5) One of the critical issues in sustaining family businesses is that family generations need to develop a stewardship mindset, whereby the business develops a stewardship culture. Issues in this area ranges between the complexity of individual context against family (business context). 5 Wealth Distribution in Family Business (Module 5 of 5) This programme consists of the following: Implementing strategies for growing the company, while maintaining family control Distributing wealth and ownership to benefit the family and the business Raising children in wealthy business families Understanding wealth distribution within a family business
