Thinking, planning and actions are the three components of entrepreneurship in which action is the most important. objectives, history of management, entrepreneurship, qualities of entrepreneurs, realities and myths about entrepreneurship etc. 2 nd Day 27 th Dec 2011 Mr. R. K. Gupta, Chairman, Tecnia Group of Institutions being felicitated by Dr. Ajay K.Rathore, Director, TIAS. He also focused on how entrepreneurship can be developed in the college. Wing Cdr. (Retd.) Prof S. Das Gupta being felicitated by Dr. A.K. Rathore,Director,TIAS Wing Cdr. (Retd) S. Dasgupta, Professor & Consultants started day-2 with his deliberations on the topic of Change. Nature of organizational change, factors of organizational change, process of planned change etc were described and discussed. He continued his lecture while explaining different factors of organizational change, effects of change and functions of change. Mr. R. K. Kathuria, Quality System Auditor - 2000 & Former AGM (Training), SAIL. Besides types and process of Communication Skills, he stressed on importance of listening in
communication and gave some tips to improve this power. On addressing stress management he told de-stress as bad stress and eu-stress as good stress. While giving stress on temperament and character, he told some characteristics of a good personality. He told the importance of positive attitude by giving examples of important personalities. He told the rules of body language in personality. 5 th Day 30 th Dec 2011 Mr. Neeraj Sharma, Advisor, Scientist G NSTEDB, being felicitated by Dr. A.K. Rathore, Director, TIAS Day- 4 started with the deliberations of Mr. Neeraj Sharma, Advisor, Scientist G NSTEDB, Division Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology. He talked about the role of entrepreneurship and need, relevance, role, contribution and phases of entrepreneurship development programme. He also elaborated how to select a potential entrepreneur. She stated the basic tools of financial management as time value of money, risk and return and valuation. She also explained the financial plan of start-up. The essential things in financial management as Income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement were explained by her in a very descriptive manner.
6 th Day 31 st Dec 2011 Mr. V. K. Mathur, CEO, Worksite Integrated Network and Director, Global Talent Consultant discussed various leadership qualities. He told some leadership traits and explained different types of it. He also briefed about Trait, Behavioral, contingency and transactional theories of leadership. He presented an interesting case study on the subject. In the second half Dr. V. K. Gupta addressed on HR strategies for new entrepreneurs. He gave some guidelines and told how motivation impacts on developmental plans. In the last, he told about some acts on employee termination. 7 th Day 02 nd Jan 2012 8 th Day 03 rd Jan 2012 In the first session Prof. P. N. Kathuria, Quality System Auditor - 2000 & Former AGM (Training), SAIL addressed on the topic Problem solving and decision making. He told about its approaches and the techniques of problem solving and decision making. He gave information about different styles of decision making. In the second half Prof. Kathuria continued his deliberations and discussed on motivation. He described the meaning, characteristics and theory of motivation and focused on McClelland s motivation theory. According to Prof. Kathuria, need for achievement motivation is very important for success of an entrepreneur. 9 th Day 04 th Jan 2012 Mr. Ashwani Gupta, Advisor, Scientist G and I/c (TPDU), DSIR being felicitated by Dr. A.K. Rathore, Director, TIAS Mr. Ashwani Gupta, Advisor, Scientist G and I/c (TPDU),Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR),Ministry of Science & Technology discussed on the topic Technology and Innovation management and new product development for MSMEs in India. He discussed on some sectors of micro, small and medium enterprise and told the opportunities and threats associated with them. Some project profiles were displayed which may be a help for a new entrepreneur. In the second half, Wing. Cdr. (Retd) S. Dasgupta, Professor & Consultants talked on Time. He discussed on the objectives, styles and skills for time management. He stressed on role of planning and scheduling, doing and acting and finishing for which motivation is required. addressing to the Faculty Members In the first session, Prof. P. N. Kathuria, Quality System Auditor - 2000 & Former AGM (Training), SAIL discussed on Group dynamics. He told why do people join any group. He explained how to develop groups. He explained social loaffing, social felicitationand group thinking phenomenon. In the next session, he spoke on ISO-9001 quality management systems. He explained various standards of ISO and gave detailed information on various versions of it. He focused on the documentations as a stringent requirement of ISO-9001.
10 th Day 05 th Jan 2012 next level. He focused on seminar agenda, Problem Solving,, and Leadership. Tata Motors 11 th Day 06 th Jan 2012 Mr. David Wittenberg CEO, The Innovation Workgroup talked about World class Teaching and B School Faculty Attitude. He told the purpose of education and focused on different learning styles. He also discussed about teaching tools and compared teaching methods between India and USA. Mr. David conducted some group and individual learning activities. He focused on child centered methods of teaching for achieving the goal of learning. Gupta appreciated the participants and said that this was the best Faculty Development programme he attended so far as the participants very interactive. FDP provided inputs on processes and practices of entrepreneurship development, communication and inter-personal skills, creativity and problem solving, time management, achievement motivation training, inputs on resource and knowledge industries, stress management and yoga. The training methodology included case studies, group discussion, games and exercises, classroom lectures etc. Overall this programme has been very much useful for the participants.
